Oh Shoot! We will cetainly miss having you guys with us! Stephen will be disappointed as he was looking forward to learning all about Germany! Maybe we can hook the kids up as penpals... Have a great Med cruise!!

Sue

Hi everybody. The German school my children attend told us last week that we can have permission to take the kids on the cruise, HOWEVER if we do so Marika will have to repeat 8th grade:headache: It does not seem to matter what her grades are or if she is caught up or not--they will just start her in 8th next year because she will be missing two weeks:confused3 Sooooo, as much as it breaks my heart to miss this one and not sail with all of you wonderful people (I am especially upset to not be sailing with Erik and Jason now--it is hard only seeing your good friends once in a blue moon and then giving that up) we have had to reconsider. We moved the reservation to the May 26 med cruise as that falls during the two weeks Marika and Rio are out for spring break (yes that is late--but summer does not start until July 31).
I hope you all have a lovely, lovely time on the TA. Oh, and lanyard team, no worries, I will get the info on to Erik.

Sorry you won't be joining us, but The kids are more important. You will enjoy the Med cruise and we will all miss you on this one.

Sorry to hear that you won't be joining us.

The snow has begun to fall. Just can't wait to see how much we get this time and how much wind and blowing comes with it.

But guess what???? I don't care because I don't have a job right now!!!!! :lmao:

I have heard that the six people doing my job are going bonkers!!!!!:rotfl:

I did send out a resume to one place that needs someone right now. Now for lots of Pixie Dust to make it work!!!! They use the same billing system that I have worked on for the past five years.

Hope things work for you:wizard:

Jon

Hadley - so sorry to hear this. So going to miss you guys on family karaoke (sp?) night. Could always count on you guys!! I am glad you were able to book something for yourself without poor Marika getting penalized. Crazy! However, I know you guys will have a great time and your new cruisemates are very lucky!

:( I'm so sad you won't be sailing with us! I was looking forward to seeing you and your family! I'm sure you will have a wonderful cruise in May though.

I have heard that the six people doing my job are going bonkers!!!!!:rotfl:

Don't you love it?!

So it's snowing...who knows what we'll get...it's not too heavy right now but that could all change in a minute. We'll see!!!!

I just wanted to tease you all in saying that I have bought part of what I am giving away in the Fish Extenders! I will keep quiet (soooooo hard for me to do) on what they are but:

1) Never seen this idea before
2) I think I could start a trend :rotfl:
3) They are a gift that spreads the magic beyond the initial giving

Are you teased yet? I'm so jazzed because I think it was such a good idea and is for the adults - a hard group to buy for!

Ooooo no fair!

I'm really sorry to hear that the school are being so inflexible, I can understand if a child was struggling to keep up but honestly that does seem a little over the top. I hope you have a heap of fun with your new cruise mates!

I have heard that the six people doing my job are going bonkers!!!!!:rotfl:

Oh that feeling of being so right while they are so wrong - enjoy! Sorry you lost your job though :confused3

We have 40 people interested in transport from area hotels to the port.

PM me if you'd like your name added to the list - no obligation as nothing has been set in concrete at this stage.

So sorry to hear that you won't be able to make it Hadley .... and we are sorry that we won't get to meet you on this cruise. The school's outlook seems to be a bit extreme and it looks like you have no choice really. At least you have the Med cruise to look forward to in May, which is a lot closer than September! Have a wonderful time.

Sending buckets of pixie dust from Wales .... hope you get the job :wizard:

I take a day off from the boards and you all go chatty crazy

I wouldn't mind if they ever got the order right...but I never get what I ordered so why should I give them a tip!

We have a Starbucks franchiase in work (run by work staff) which is the only Starbucks I've known to give me the right coffee first time! Usually I end up with some weird concoction as I tend to order a Chai Tea Latte (techincally not coffee I know). Most places either guess its this syrup stuff with a shot of coffee (no) or make it with all milk (no) or all syrup (no). I've actually told people how to make it sometimes to save the hassel!

Hi everyone,

What a way to start my week. I nearly kill myself getting to work only to be "Let Go" because of budget cuts. so to work at 9am home by 11:30am. I am so shocked I cannot even think. My co-worker Awilda couldn't even speak!! I did post on Facebook that I was let go, but I will not go into much detail there.

This came out of left field because I really thought my job was secure with all of the things I do. I even asked the director who was gonna do it because she sure can't think Awilda is going to do that plus all of her work. It is very time consuming and very exact. Her words were, "we will spread it out over other people. That will be interesting since no one likes doing my job. Their comments are you are doing just fine. You keep doing it just like you do it now. I dealt with so many parents about their accounts and do a weekly electronic fund transfer and I just cannot wait to see who screws things up. I hope they lose a few parents because of this that is how mad I am right now.

But I am not giving up this cruise!!!!

Sorry Terry! What a week! Hope its getting better here!

They can be hopeless, but I love starbucks, I reckon cause it minds me of my hols, I would never normally buy any type of coffee unless I am away somewhere.

I am sending pixie dust your way. I hope you find something soon. DH is working on his resume right now. We are enjoying a nice morning together before we head out - he to the union hall to do some work, and me to do home visits for all the lovely babies born on the weekend. Although we are in a much better position with DH working, there are some nice sides to unemployment - in your case watching the snow fall and knowing you don't have to battle it today!:happytv:
