The quota thing is always an issue - the powers that be just change the rules up a bit now and again. Scientists have sailed with DH before to allow them to evaluate/estimate the "stock" available.
Yes he does sometimes - but those guys are obviously using a different style of fishing than our fleet here in the UK do. And although it does get very cold up here, DH has never had to use their boat as an ice-breaker as the North Sea doesn't freeze over like the Berring Sea does.![]()
