Sept 18 2010 WB TransAtlantic Pirates/Capt Jacks Re-Repoing Repossession Cruise Pt.3

Well, I am back again. I came back from my vacation a week ago, but I have been really busy. We had a great time and I will start working on a trip report as soon as I can. I have also taken loads of photos and will add those to the trip report.

While I was on the Magic, I booked the Eastbound Transatlantic Cruise for next year. We had originally planned to do both Transatlantic cruises. This is still what I intend to do. However, DH has decided that he really does not like sea days and that he will go stir crazy if he is doing two cruises with so many sea days. He is still committed to the Westbound Transatlantic and I will do the Eastbound solo. I am little worried about doing this on my own, but I figure that I usually do my own thing during the day anyway and I will still have company at dinner. There are a number of solo cruisers on the cruise meet thread and there has been some suggestion of linking reservations so that I would even sit with other DISers.

Fortunately they lifted the overtime ban that we had for most of the year just before I went on vacation so I am doing as much overtime as I can get away with to pay for my solo cruise. The single occupancy rate is quite a bit higher than the rate for two or more people sharing.

Corinna

Welcome home Corinna - look forward to reading your trip report and checking out your pics - hope you had a wonderful cruise. Maybe you will be able to find a friend or family member to go with you on the EB transatlantic cruise to share a cabin - what about mentioning it on the UK DIS board?

Right, I am completely caught up. Now I should be able to keep up until I am going on the Eastbound Transatlantic. I still have two weeks vacation time (one week in November and one week just before Christmas), but I am staying at home.

Hi all checking back in for an update on my handicapped room.

Thank you for all your finger crossing and pixie dust. You can now relax :goodvibes

We now have a room. It is room 6000. Which is a category 8 :) inside deluxe state room with a window. We had booked a catrgory 11 :)

So this is are first ever disney upgrade. Most important we have a room :)

So I won the battle with hubby. When I said disney would not let us down.

:cool1::cool1::thumbsup2

I am so glad that this is finally all sorted out and that you got an upgrade as well.

Hope you don`t mind us jumping on board. That is me and DH, two boring 50 something brits!
We`ve had the TA booked for a year now, we`re in a cat.11 gty. This will be DH`s third DCL cruise and my forth and we are so looking forward to it :goodvibes
I`ve really got into planning mode with this cruise and I`m looking forward to getting the flights and Barcelona hotels sorted.
:flower3: :wave2:

:welcome: on board. We are also in the UK, in Manchester so I know all about the rain.

Just got an email from DU and our waitlist for a cat 3 has come up. Snatched their hand off, and so now we're in one of the huge handicap accessible cat 3 aft rooms. Can't wait.

Congratulations on getting a category 3.

Hi all - Just thought I would post a couple of pictures from this weekend with my son (DBK1029) and my new daughter (in-law) (TheDisneyGirl02). The wedding was wonderful. They are both so very happy I wish you all could have seen their faces as they saw each other inside the church!! Both were just beaming!!!!

They are currently on their Disneymoon at WDW. They have their computer with them so I'm sure that you will hear from them later in the week.

The photos are gorgeous. I hope that they had a wonderful day.

I had considered this. As far as friends and family are concerned there is nobody that would be interested and in a position to come on their own. DH suggested I should look for a room mate on the DIS, but I am a bit nervous committing myself to share a room with a stranger for 14 nights.

I hope you all have a GREAT trip!

Unfortunately we will not be able to join you. :sad1:

Due to the horrible economic conditions here in Detroit! Kellie celebrated her one year anniversary of being unemployed...not exactly the milestone you look forward to.

We have moved our cruise to the EB Trans in May 2011 to give ourselves more time to save and plan and keep our fingers crossed things turn around.

I will be reading the boards to keep up, and look forward to all the trip reports to come!

Enjoy the May cruise and I`m so sorry about the circumstances that have made you change the date. May 2011 will soon be here!

Well I must say I like the look of the Disney Dream - especially the dining rooms - they look so pretty. I`ve sent the link to DD she`ll love it.
I`m still waiting for DD to return from her trip to Spain - however she decided to stay another week or so and is now heading to Marbella where my sister lives. The temps are in the 80`s - lucky girl. Oh to be a carefree student. I`ll get the info re Barcelona from her on her return and show her a cheap hotel I`ve found - about 60 euro`s a night and it has good reviews.

Thanks for the welcome Dolphingirl.

Sorry to hear you won't be able to join us on this cruise - that is such a shame - but at least it gives you a bit longer to try and get things sorted out. Hoping that a job turns up soon :wizard::wizard::wizard: and changing to the EB in 2011 means that when you are still looking forward to your cruise - ours will be over :scared1::scared1:
