There'll be trouble on this cruise if your bear hooks up with my daughter's Princess Bunny. There was no end to the trouble we found her in on our recent cruise!

It took us awhile to figure out where the bar charges were coming from:

But we finally found the source!

It is good to see that my PM Mickey Charles Mouse or Chuckie for short will have some good friends to meet!!!!

.....have been looking for something for navigation while walking around town...Any other suggestions?

I have Garmin GPS, and it has a walking mode. So if you have a portable GPS, you might want to check to see if it has a walking mode as well. That reminds me...I might want to purchase a Spain/Europe map to download for my Garmin. Hmmmm...

Thank you thank you!

We are Carolynn, Paul, Trudy, Kai, Taryn and Alden. We are arriving the afternoon of the 16th.

You're most welcome! I'll get you added to the revised list as well. I have company arriving shortly and spending the night tonight, so I may not get to an updated list until Monday. A group of us from high school who live around my area in Columbus (we're about 85 miles from our hometown) are having dinner and whatever else comes our way. My best friend for 35 years is coming from Cleveland to join us! (WOW! That makes me sound really old! We've known eachother since Kindergarten though.) :-)

I also have many other posts I want to respond to later! Have a great remainder of your weekend everyone!

there is now a password to enter info on the roll call???

It's not a site password, but a password for each person's account, so that you can return and edit your information. We've already been hit once by viagra spammers, so I'll probably have to take further steps to keep them out.

We've done the brunch on every cruise we've been on, and just love it. On our Wonder cruise a few weeks ago, DH and I even opted to skip Palo dinner so we could do brunch instead, since we didn't have enough days inbetween to do both.

I hear you on the doing things with kids. How old are your kids? We'll have a 3 and 6 yr old with us, so segways, gocars, and other things are definitely out. I'm still looking for good things that we can do with them the 2 days we'll be in Barcelona pre-cruise. But at least you'll have an apartment. I'm taking the cheap way out and using Marriott points for the Renaissance near the airport for us and my in-laws.
Actually the apartment IS the "cheap way out" for us.... the cheapest lodging we could find for our family of 5. Go figure, huh? LOL
It's interesting (and confusing) that it woud cost more for us to be in 2 hotel rooms (with one extra person in one of the rooms) than it cost us for the 4 bedroom apt that sleeps 9 with kitchen/etc.

Our kids aren't that young- they will be just turned 10, 12 (almost 13) and 16 on this cruise. But still... I don't think all of us doing the segway tour is a good idea... even if they allowed the youngest to do so.

We don't have any kids at the moment but you will find all kinds of things to do. The hop on hop off bus sounds perfect for you guys! Have you checked it out yet?
I think that will definitely be one thing we do..... sounds perfect to me too! I did the hop on/hop off trolley in Key West- just me and the kids (DH went diving) and it worked well.
I imagine we'll probably do that one day and get a "lay of the land" so to speak- from there we'll see how things go. We've never been there before and honestly I'm not sure if we'll want to stick together all 5 of us every second of the day/night or not. (probably...LOL)

Capital One Credit Cards to not charge a conversion fee (at least the last time I checked). Those of you in the US may want to look into getting one for the cruise. I plan to put the cruise on my Chase card and use my Capital One card while in ports.
Hmm, I'll have to try to check into that more. Good to know! We almost always use our chase card, but we'll use one of our capital one if it means no conversion fees added! Thanks for that info!

Have a great weekend!

Dennis has a friend here in town that he has known for 55 years.....and he was NOT in kindergarden when they met. :sad2: Now that is old!! :lmao::rotfl:

It's a happy day for us!! :cool1: We booked our air!! We are pretty much traveling around the world to get there, but oh well. Minneapolis does not have any direct flights to BCN, so we are actually flying out of Philadelphia. Wow, flights sure are cheap out of PHL. I was shocked compared to flights out of Minneapolis. We are paying $603/pp for MSP>PHL>BCN and then on 10/02 MCO>MSP. This is on Air Tran/Air Canada and Delta.

We just got back from a four night Wonder cruise on Thursday. It was just my oldest DD and myself. It was the first time we've been on the Wonder. We really had a great time. I must say I prefer the decor on the Wonder to the decor on the Magic. I loved the Route 66 area...

Now that we have our flights booked and are back from our winter getaway, I will be posting more often! :)

Good morning from SF. I am watching last night Australian Open Women's final this morning (I missed it last night do to a dinner). What a great match.

I can't believe that I depart in 8 months and 6 days! I am starting to get organized here - putting clothes in my other room, started shoe boxes with travel items (toothpaste, deodorant, laundry detergent, etc.). :cool1::banana::goodvibes I must do these things now when I have time. As things have picked up quite a bit at work in the last 2 weeks - I have only had 2 days off (both Saturday's) and I am wiped. I am earning this vacation.

I hope you meant you are leaving in 7 months and 6 days or you will have missed the cruise!! ;)

So, we booked with HIExpress, and now no one else is staying there... Which makes me question where we are staying... HELP!!! I need room for 4. Our son is considered an adult at most local hotels (but was a free kid for HIE). I have had no luck in booking the hotels that most of you are at. If other families with kids are arriving mid week (we are in 9am Thursday) we would love to stay in same area at least - and maybe the kids can meet up...

Any advise? Hints? Ideas?

Well, then you need to come out west and sail with us when the Wonder moves! We ahve always been partial to the Magic. I don't know why, maybe because she was the first ship we sailed on way back when both ships were doing 3/4 days. You are right though, the Route 66 area is very cool.:thumbsup2

I'd love to!! :) I'm not sure what it is but the Wonder seems "brighter" to me, especially up at Beach Blanket Buffet.

Can someone please explain what a "fish extender" is for the benefit of a "newbie"? Much thanks!

Also, does everyone have the same paid in full date? Our pay in full date is May 21st - just curious?! Thanks.

33 WEEKS UNTIL WE BOARD THE DISNEY MAGIC !!!!!!!

:dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3:

WOO-HOO!!! :dance3::dance3::dance3:

It's in the works. I had time set aside last weekend, but spent that time removing the 100 or so new registrations spamming us with viagra and cialis, then figuring out how them from coming back. So far I've been able to stop it without using CAPTCHA (the annoying distorted graphics from which you have to decipher the text).

I'll try to get to it this weekend, but have much on the honey-do list, as well as getting ready for another baseball season, as I created and manage the website for my son's league.

Thank you! I love the website and appreciate all of the work you have put in to maintain and manage it!

Fish extender... Well in a nut shell it is a banner with pockets that you hang from your fish. Yes, not a typo... :lmao: The fish is your stateroom mail box - it is really a letter holder that looks like a fish that is mounted outside your door.

A fish extender swap is where we sign up to leave little gifts for eachother. On this cruise, due to the amount of people that originally signed up, we are doing groups of 25 cabins or in the case of some of our cruisers 25 room mates (2 FE's per room).

Groups will be assigned pretty soon so people can get started. I will probably also "assign" a day to deliver so that not everyone drops there goodies on the same day/night.

So, the benefit is daily you will get little treats/gifts/goodies from your DIS family!

Congratulations on the flights! When are you flying over? A bunch of us are booked on the USAir flight out of Philly on 9/15, and others are on the 9/16 flight.

I now know what you mean about the Wonder. We just sailed on the Wonder for the first time on Jan 10-14, after 3 cruises on the Magic, the most recent one in Dec 2009. DH and I both liked the Route 66 carpet and thought it was really cool. We also preferred the decor and especially the chairs in Tritons to Lumiere's. Very comfy!! And taller. In Lumiere's I always feel like I need a booster seat! Other than those differences, it was sometimes hard to remember we were on the Wonder and not the Magic since they have the same feel to them. Can't say I have an opinion about the buffet restaurant since we only ate there once or twice on the Wonder.

Well the weather is kicking our Canadian butts once again: it's -11c and cold. Yesterday it was -18. It was so hard to get out of bed and go to work this week!

I have had a hard time catching up on all the posts! We are all a chatty bunch  That suits me just fine.

I'm sorry to hear about the illnesses (hope you feel better Candida), the loss of a loved one, and job losses. I'm sorry I haven't responded individually.

Hoping to keep up better.

I'd love to!! :) Krista

Alaska July 26, 2011. A nice group of DISers on that one.
:thumbsup2

Oh please don't send it south!!! :flower3: We have had a very pleasant mid 30s daytime high here for a couple of weeks. Nice!
