Hey everybody,

I'm definitely new here, but I would love to get involved with the gang before me and my family go on this cruise.

My mom, grandma, brother, sister, and I went on the June 1st 2008 Mexican Riviera Cruise and had a fabulous time. Our only regret was that we didn't make the time to meet our fellow cruisers on this board before sailing!

So, just saying hi, and hoping to get organized enough to meet or at least chat with a few of you all before we get on board. (and considering the amount of time I have until the cruise, I really have no excuse to fail in this!)

Well, I officially have a room-mate for this cruise! Much loved, ex-sister-in-law, Pam, is joining me! She still has to get final clearance from her boss for a 2 week plus vacation, but I say.....plenty of time to find a new job if he doesn't!

Welcome! We were on the June 1st Mexican Riviera cruise too. That was a unique one, with everyone wrapped in blankets on Deck 9!

I have a friend who may be joining us. She's a big Disney fan too and has been jealous of my previous cruises. She just told me today that she will probably book for herself and her daughter. Just got to get her to join DIS and start posting.

She'll be at DL in March, so Todd, Laura, Pam, etc will have to help me convince her.

Yeah we bought more DVC yesterday

We couldnt resist , we have been waiting to buy at the Grand Californian since before they even announced it "officially" I think Kurt from DVC hinted to us when we were on the WB TA in 07 so we had are SSR now we have the Grand Californian ... So one of the nice incentives was Developer Points but we have to use them by Oct 3rd of 09 so we decided that since Monica was going to go for Valentines weekend we would go to and use half of our developer points now ..lol (Free Trip)

Anyway We will be at Disneyland on February 13th thru the 16th if you want to come on by .....


THIS IN NO WAY EFFECTS THE MARCH DIS MEET

I am a little bit jealous that you are owning at GCV. We had always considered doing an add on there as we love Southern California almost as much as we love Florida, but with the Pound being so weak against the Dollar this would not be a sensible thing to do at the moment. Does the minimum add on of 100 points apply to GCV as well?

Yes it does ...but you can split it up 50 / 50

Well, this morning I almost got in the car and drove to Disneyland! I remembered a friend telling me there was usually a very light crowd on Super Bowl Sunday. Then I remembered I don't have extra $ right now for a room and a park ticket. Otherwise I'd be doing the meet in March!
