Does Christiaan the cruise director count as a disney character?

lol No Clayton!!!! I'm sorry but anyone who can look that good in a suit should be a Disney character! lol I love Clayton/Hollywood (oh and not in a way that will make Dan jealous) but he's just so so funny. I still love it when he does the bar skits. I've seen him as a ballarina, a blind cab driver (aka Steve Wonder) and a tennis player all of which were hilarious!

I love that you would count Christian - he is one of our favorites. Clayton is my fave!

Want to know the funny part? I'm an identical twin. We've both had our ACLs reconstructed. When she tore her, I tore mine two weeks later to the day! We did have the surgery a couple of weeks apart though. The second time I tore it, I was dancing around my house. I didn't know for sure that I had torn it, but when they went to do a scope about 2 years later, it was torn and needed to be reconstructed.

OK that's spooky! They do say that twins have similar life experiences but I didn't think that went for injuries lol.

DH loves stitch. His car IS stitch! its a bright blue PT cruiser and the licence plate is EXP 626. And he has a Stitch antenna topper.

He was going to get some of the stitch hats that look like stitch is eating your head for head rest covers, but the headrests were way too big.

Oh my God I want his car!!!!! That's so so cool! Can we see a pic?

Welcome to all the new folks. I'm going to try to do a better job of keeping up now. We will be heading south from OR Thursday or Fri. We should be at DL by mid month! We have annual passes with blackouts, so we hope to be there by Dec 14 so we will have several days to play before the Dec 20 blackout period begins. We have 3 friends to visit on the way down.

Safe travels. Hope you get there in time! I'm sure you will!

Pictures with favourites would be good

If I remember later (in work at mo so can't) I'll add my pic of me with Walle in Disney last month on (you can see my allergic reaction mind so not the best pic) but its WALLE!!

--goodness I like so many of them . . Rachael is my favourite crusie director and I loved Keyon and Michael (niether of whom I believe are still onboard, but maybe they are back ) and Oscar and DJ Mike and. . .well so many wonderful people who MAKE a Disney cruise

OK I have to admit that I do not like Rachel and I have no idea why! She wound me up on the TA's last time! I so prefer Christian! Michaels OK. I love Dave off the cruiseline staff, especially when he is singing, and Oscar and DJ Mike. DJ Mike actually saw my Mum & Dad in Disney after the last TA and said hi to them which I thought was nice, and treated them really well on the December cruise they did last year!

Well, you may see me following you around just to listen to your accents! I had two uncles from Wales (my mom's sisters married brothers) and I loved them so. They both passed while I was still a kid and I will always have a soft spot for the Welsh!
OK should probably point out that me and Dan are from the south so not much of an accent but I know there's a couple from North Wales on here (sorry can't remember user name!) called Sarah and John I think (told you I'm awful with names) and they will have much better Welsh accents than us lol I do sound really Welsh if I say 'Pathetic' but that's about it! Going to be learning Welsh next year though so might pick up the accent a little!

We loved Oscar. : )

I like Belle (and think Ariel should be grounded!) and Scott LOVES Wendy.

HEY! I'm not on the list! I paid my deposit. I promise!

Good Evening, all

Favorite Character, has to be Lilo, she is just so miss-understood, lol. I love Chip and Dale, they are always having so much fun every time I see them.

Would love to do a book ex-change, but think that I will be bringing my books for the cruise on my iPod Touch, I added this Application called E-book, it is so cool! Since I read a book a day, sure will save on weight. Might still bring a book or two to put in the bag.

Pj

I am Lilo! The arguement she has with Nani in the movie about her being a rabbit is one that me and my sister actually had growing up! Even Dan agrees I'm Lilo lol Don't think I went as far as voodoo on my friends but I was always the little weird clumsy girl who never did things the way they were meant to be done.

Oh I love the touch, though can't afford one at the mo. Hoping that maybe when I upgrade my phone in Jan theyll offer me one (YEAH RIGHT WISHFUL THINKING).
Anyway I don't know if I would ever give up my books. I don't read a whole lot but I like to get the feel of a book. Read Harry Potter on the last TA in the hot tub lol It was great fun!

In the tradition of my DIS friend Deb I offer some stats on the chattiest, just for fun! :goodvibes The top 5 chattiest individuals on take 1 were:

#5 Kathy (Mom x4 grandma X4) with 128 posts
#4 Sandi (Hoagie Pie) with 129 posts (squeekd in over Kathy only because Kathy is on a cruise right now I think;) )
#3 Stephanie (Brooklyn) with 167 posts
#2 Todd (DisneyVegas1) with 254 posts
and the chattiest DISser in our bunch is. . . Sarah (Gismo1554) with 302 posts

YEAH I WIN I WIN! Do I get a prize? lol This is called I have too much time on my hands in work (actually have no work to do today again and have been here for 2 hours already) so end up on here replying to anyone and everyone!

I've never understood the people who choose disney and then complain about the kids...hmmmmmm

OK I can hold my hands up as being someone whos not a big fan of kids and does Disney! I don't complain all the time about kids I just don't appreciate it when they are badly behaved especially in nice restaurants! I personally have no issue with kids as long as they are polite and act appropriately for the situation. Badly behaved or bratty kids however I do complain about I'm afraid because I think that parents should teach their children to behave. We went to Disney as kids and knew it was a treat and if we misbehaved we wouldn't go again. I think some kids get away with murder!

Saying this I have never actually had any issues with kids on the cruises. Perhaps its the fact there are specific activities for kids that means that they behave better but even on busy days by the pool I've never complained about children as they seem to be very well behaved in general.

The thing with Disney is that it is not just about Children and I think alot of people seem to think that it is. This is why I am still upset that they got rid of Pleasure Island as this was the one adult only area in Disney! Disney tries to attract families of all shapes and sizes and personally my family is adult because I choose it to be. Whether I have children in the future or not I do think its unfair to peanlise people just because they choose/can't have children. That said however I also appreciate the fact that there are always going to be children at Disney (although I think they should do Adult nights cause that would be cool) and I think the people that go to Disney and feel that there shouldn't be any kids at all are wrong!

Hope that makes sense lol

"Bumping Up" - what does that mean in reference to these posts? I've seen people say they are doing it.

Basically on the Cruise Meets page our thread will drop down if people don't post on here. When people saying Bumping up it just means that they are posting to push the meet thread back up on the list and make it easier to find.

It means on the list. Everytime someone posts on a thread it moves it to the top of the Disney Cruise Meets section. So when someone says bumping up, it just puts us back at the top of the list. It is nice to be on top! :)

Oops missed this post lol. This answers your question too lol

Congratulations to Sarah (Gismo1554) on being the chattiest DISer - it must have something to do with being Welsh!;)

I can't believe that this thread is already on it's second installment and there are still 21 months to go - I wonder how many installments we will have by the time we depart!

lol probably does actually! You know us Welsh could talk for hours without breathing!

Its amazing we're on 2! On the WB TA thread last time we only got through 1!

I am gutted you dont have a proper welsh accent, I was just thinking I hope you talk as much as you type, I love the welsh accent!!:goodvibes
I am exactly like you, I am a vet nurse and work nights:rolleyes1 up to 12am then bed with any luck, I am still in the hospital though if someone comes in the vet gets me up, so no emergencys means lots of chatting!!:surfweb:
It has to be better than eastenders like what the vet views on the telly.
(it is a soap on tv for you who dont know)

Yeh and I did not get the hollywood thing, but thans for posting a picture, now I do!

I think you might mean us (Sarah and Tony) we're from North Wales - right up there on the coast. Now I hate to disappoint everyone - we really don't have much of a Welsh accent either, neither of us are Welsh speakers - although I do understand a fair bit. We have very neutral accents to be honest. Now I would have thought you South Walians would have much much more of a Welsh accent (along the lines of "Gavin and Stacey!")

Well you better get practising for me!!!:lmao:
I want a welsh accent!

och aye, no only joking, we live near dunfermline, 25 miles from edinburgh, i work in edinburgh and so have to speak a bit better than Len;) so they understand me, not so scottish for you but the lovely Linda I met last cruise thought I did but she was American and probably sounded more scottish the her.Len says things that makes me even laugh.

I am away to walk my crazy daisy Beagle, funnily enough named, Orly !

Sorry to disappoint! We'll just have to have lots of conversations with the word pathetic in that way youll hear the accent! It's the trouble with living so close to the boarder! I grew up litterally just the other side of the Severn bridge so most of this area doesn't have an accent as we were once part of England.
Glad I'm not the only one lacking on the work side. If I could get away with it I'd start another job while in work lol.

Sorry guys! Told you I was awful with names! I knew it was Sarah and someone lol. Seems like all us Welshies have no accents!

Its mainly the valleys that have the accents down here. Newport doesn't really have one although we do use most of the welsh sayings like "whos coat is that jacket". Maybe if I manage to learn Welsh then Ill get a better accent! Doesn't help I spent 2 years in lancaster and 2 years in the US! Dan spent 4 years in Plymouth at Uni so his accents a bit squewed too lol. We'll have to watch more Gavin & Stacey to get the accent lol

Well all have to get some practising of accents in I think lol

How is Orly coping with the snow or isn't it too bad up round you?

I'm sure you have enough of an accent for us Americans to enjoy, while still being able to understand you.
I've never seen Gavin and Stacy apart from the Previews... Does Gwen Cooper from Torchwood have a Welch accent? I have a vague memory of them mentioning it in one of the first episodes.

Hes fine but I fell and skint my knees, arrghgh, any way I glued the flappy bit down so fingers crossed it will stay there and heal and I wont be left with a hole![/QUOTE]

Orly goes even crazier when it snows(if that is possible)

The original welsh accent is tom jones ( he looks weird lately)
