Hello everybody!

Whew! It seems like ages since I've been on this board. Luckily it didn't take too long for me to catch up on all the posts. You guys were kinda quiet while I was gone. I see that I wasn't the only one super busy these last few weeks. ;)

My college's spring dance show is this weekend so I've had some seriously long evening rehearsals preparing for it. Last night was our first performance and tonight we have another. I'm in four dances: a japanese fan dance, a swing jazz piece, a smooth jazz piece, and a ballet piece. So, needless to say, I've been super busy! :dance3: My sister and mom are in two dances too! It is so much fun being backstage with my family in the dressing room between numbers. It definitely calms my nerves! :scared1:

I will try to stay better involved now that there aren't going to be rehearsals every night!

Hope it went well.

Well we're still waiting on internet at home so can't get on here much. Also all change in work (boss is leaving for another section) so haven't had a moment of peace but never mind. Hoping to get more time on here next week

Good morning everyone,
I thought I had better stop by and say hello while I was where I had internet service. Thank goodness I didnt have 50 pages to catch up on this time.
Still pouring rain here.
Now we can smell the smoke from the wild fires in California. It really smells bad here, I cant imagine how strong it must be there.

Hope you all had a good mothers day,:goodvibes

back when i can, I am still cleaning out my moms place but we are making good progress now:thumbsup2

Hi everyone!

It's been so long since I 've been on here, I almost couldn't find you on page 2! I don't know where I left off, so welcome to new cruisers, and happy everything for the holidays I missed.

September 2010 can't come soon enough.

Just wanted to drop by and say hi!

As I sit here, I"m watching that baby mouse that I brought home from the science center run on her wheel like crazy! She has gotten so big! I'll have to take some pictures and post them.

Hope all is well with everyone!

Hi all

Well looks like my sister her hubby mum and dad are looking at coming on this cruise now so its going to be a big group of us again! Oh well should be fun.

Can't believe how quiet we all are. Haven't seen some people around on here for ages! Where's UK lynne gone?

Sarah

 I'm here. Just got back from a trip to Chicago to visit with my sister and some of my DIS friends too! :thumbsup2 I'm just a few weeks from final payment and Palo/excursion booking day for my cruise this September, so I'm kind of focused on that right now. I'm really looking forward to that family cruise and showing the sibs the Disney Magic!

I see you are from Allentown PA, are you going to MagicMeets? just wondering, DH and I will be there.

Oh and just saw the new look website - I know it was updating ages ago but just got round to looking - and it looks fantastic! BRILLIANT JOB :cool1:

Hey everyone. I haven’t logged on and posted in a while. I just checked the cruise prices on Disney’s site for our cruise. Have the prices gone down? Not much of a difference in price now since I booked that morning the cruise started selling (I had a dummy reservation from the Panama cruise) and the price now. I am now saving $198 for a Category 8 booking for 4 with $200 onboard credit. I could have sworn it was a better deal in October. I am not crazy about ponying up $1200 2 years ahead of time for 1st tier pricing, if that pricing ends up coming down. Especially since I have to pay for the whole cruise in May 2010 vs. booking last minute at a possibly better rate with better flight prices. My CC gives me 5% if I book everything through them. Thanks, mikeinmontreal. Hope everyone is well BTW. :)

I just tried to check out prices on the website to see how the prices compare now to what I paid when they first opened up booking. Unfortunately I did not succeed as all inside cabins seem to have sold out. Considering that, I doubt that the prices have gone down. What would make a difference is that we paid the fuel surcharge and new bookings now don't have to pay them. That might account for why the deal does not look quite so good anymore.

Well, I have been MIA recently. Things at work are crazy and are getting more crazy by the minute. Apart from this there is plenty of excitement here as well.

Last week, my sister told me that she was getting married in September. I have not even met her husband to be yet. They had only just got together when I was in Germany last July and even my parents had not met him at that point. All going well, the wedding will be September 12th. We are only going over for a long weekend, but when we come back it will be only two weeks until we fly to Florida. I have not confessed that one to my boss yet. Fortunately I have the weekend itself off so I just need a day leave either end.

We are also getting ready for our next cruise which is just 11 days away now. We are flying down to the south coast as this is not only much quicker than the train, but also marginally cheaper. DHs family live near Southampton where the cruise will sail from so we will have dinner with DHs sister the night before we set sail. We will spend the night in a hotel right by the port so depending on which side of the hotel our room is, we might be able to see the Norwegian Jade as soon as we get up.

Once I am back from that, I need to seriously consider making the final payment for our October cruise. We have booked the REAS package again, which means that we can make our reservations for Palo and the shore excursions at 105 days out (June 20th). Not long after that, it is time to make ADRs for our post cruise stay and this time I won't forget.

When we booked the cruise last September while we were on the Wonder, I thought this would never come around, but now it is creeping up on us.

I have also wondered where Lynne is and I also miss Hadley. I hope that they are OK and still joining us on this cruise.

Corinna

Just popping it to say "hi" - wow its quiet around here isn't it? Still on the positive side, at least I can keep up ;)

I see we are less than 500 days until sailing - still a long way but its a milestone right? :)

Congrats to your sister. Can't believe you're cruising so soon!

I am so excited!!!:banana: Today they acid wash my new pool and start filling her up!!! :cool1::cheer2: It is absolutely gorgeous!

Although my DH claims the pool eliminates this cruise :scared1: I do not believe him - yet. We will see when payment time comes if he is correct. I am dead set on sailing!!!

Popping in to say hello:wave:

We've been very busy out here in CA. We had some rain the beginning of the month but now are looking at temps up to 100 this coming weekend. Managed to get most of the yard trimming and laid down a new brick path before the heat sets in. Trying to get my veggie beds done. We love being able to go out and pick tomatoes and peas and eat them right off the vine.

We snagged a wonderful semi-last minute deal on Magic's first trip to Tortola last month. It was beyond fantastic as we were able to grab an upgrade at port:thumbsup2 Not sure how the school feels about our daughters missing some 13 days of the 2008/09 school year cruising and doing the parks. Thankfully, they are both good students as they're going to miss a minumum of 12 days of school for this trip in the 2010/2011 school year.

Was there any thoughts or talk on the homework club onboard? Do we know approx. how many school age kids will be on board? My DD2 is a school teacher that received her pink slip, along with 27,000 other teachers here in CA. I'd love to bring her along and I'm sure she'd love to come.....but hopefully, she will be back in a classroom by then.

Like many, I am sure, we are waiting for the flight schedules to come out so that we can firm up travel plans for this trip. Right now, our flights are booked through Disney arriving one day beforehand, but if we can travel a few days beforehand and stop in Ireland for a day or two, that would be great. I'd also like to change our accommodations in Barcelona to something less expensive. This will have to be our only vacation in 2010 as DH only gets 3 weeks of vacation per year. Our final payment is due 4/12/10.

The website looks great. I signed up months ago to help Hadley with the Lanyards...

We will be visiting DisneyLand next month. We haven't been there in about 3 years...spending our time in Florida;). Our DD1 is in San Diego. Her DH was injured in Afghanistan last August. We were there for Thanksgiving. He is doing well, but has still more surgury, (putting his leg/knee back together) scheduled for the 1st week of June, so we will be visiting them also, no DL for them this time. DD1 and DD2 and families were all in DL the 1st weekend in May. DD2 was able to get into Club 33 with someone she meet on the disboards. Anyone else in DL 6/18 & 6/19?

Well, that's what we've been doing. I am going to try to make an effort to keep up. Hope everyone is doing well.

Linda
