Congrats to all who have made it to Barcelona. I am sitting at BUF airport awaiting my first flight.

Checked in with Delta this morning online and my seat assignment is gone!!!!! Now I have something labeled "seat request" boarding card??? Any one have experience with this?

Well we are in Barcelona at the Pratik Barcelona. We land around 8:45 a.m I did not not sleep on the plane. Got through custom and Immigrations with no problems. Take a taxi from the port to here. It took about 30 min to get here. It cost about 37 euros and we charge for eight bags. We went and walked around then and we ended walking to La Sagrada Familia. We we got back and check in to our hotel and saw how far the La Sagrada Familia was from our hotel.It was 2.5 miles direct and we were walking randomly. We think we walk around 7 mile already. We will see you at the magic fountain tonight

I will look out for you at the hotel. Quite a few checking in today.

It is so exciting to hear about everyone who is on their way or who has made it to Barcelona. It gets me more in the mood to continue my packing which I'm takig a quick break from right now. Trying to fit it in to 2 checked bags, 2 rollaboards, and some backpacks. I'll let you know if we did it!

24 hours from now we will be at the airport waiting for our first flight to Atlanta and then hopefully meet up with Sandi at the airport. I'll be wearing a blue shirt and black pants. DH will have blue shirt and khaki's. DS's will be wearing the friendship rocks shirts--one lime green and one dark green.

Adam is working on his It's a Small World for the guest talent show, so it's nice to hear this while we pack.

Finally got some time to come over and say hi to everyone. Sorry work has been manic. Today is my first day off and I feel like I haven't done anything! At the moment I'm stuck over my Mums waiting for my flip flops to arrive as I have to sign for them! Still no letter from the DVLA to say my driving liscense is still valid so not gonna be using that as ID. Still not packed! Still not done last minute pampering other than I've stolen some of my Mums nail varnish to do my toe nails! Wouldn't mind so much but Mums boilers broken and can't get hold of her boiler man to come look at it so it can be fixed! Nightmare!

Anyway hope all those that are ill get well soon! Wishing everyone safe travels. Checked EasyJet site and the flight seems to be OK so I guess well find out tomorrow what impact France has on us.

Hoping for a good night sleep tonight ! Our son will take us to the airport at 10:00 a.m. for our noon flight ! I cannot imagine how I will feel tomorrow morning! Or when I land in Barcelona!!! I've never travelled further from Ohio than Florida!!!!! I imagine I will be beside myself with excitement and I know myself well enough to know there will be a few tears too but happy/excited "I can't believe I'm here" tears !

We are finally in Barcelona and checked into the Praktik Barcelona. We arrived at the airport around 2:30, got here by 3. Dennis is taking an hour nap since we did not sleep much on the plane last night. Swiss Air is really, really nice though. I'm going to shower (phew! I need it!) and then get Dennis in the shower so we can meet Noel, Melanie and spouses at 6 to go to Flamenco Show and dinner.

Well, I am all done with what I had to do at work and I am nearly finished for the day. The taxi will pick me up in about 30 minutes to take me to the airport. We will spend the night at one of the airport hotels. We leave early tomorrow and hopefully we will meet up with the other DISers that will be on the same flight. Everybody who still has their trip to Barcelona ahead, have a safe journey. I will see you either tomorrow at the HRC or Saturday on the ship.

Just a 'quick update' for those who have been kind enough to ask....

I spent the day with Mum, Sis and Becky and was somewhat relieved to find that Becky seems pretty ok with the new meds so far (*insert picture of crossed fingers here*) She says they're disrupting her sleep but otherwise ok so far.


I feel happier about leaving her now, especially after talking to her and my sister, who is going to be 'on call' if needed


Phew!!!!!


Think I can relax now and look forward to.....

Well I'm at work (but not really working) I got all packed last night, did my airline check in this morning and like I said previously leave at the "buttcrack of dawn" (0605) tomorrow for JFK.

Hope to meet up with the fellow JFK flyers.

Kathy and I arrived yesterday. We were wiped out, didn't sleep on plane. Had 4 hour wait to get into room at Praktik Barcelona. Did waterfront and Ramblas. Today, Thurs, we did HOHO bus, red and blue lines. We met other DISers at hotel lounge and are out for dinner. See you Friday night at HRC. Tim

We are going with short sleeves but we are all carrying on our hoodies. If we need to, these will be our blankies for the night. I'll have my DCL hoodie I got last December.

I am sitting here at work counting down the hours. Have to work until 5:00 today and then noon tomorrow! I am surprisingly very calm…I actually can’t believe how calm I am. But every once in a while I get this VERY excited/nervous feeling in my stomach and I can’t believe the time is here!

I made myself an FE this morning. I am only participating in the postcard exchange and originally said “no FE.” Then I thought I’d get a little something to hang on the fish so I changed my notation to “yes FE.” But here we were 3 days before the cruise and I hadn’t found anything! So last night I went to the local craft store and bought two 6-inch red tote bags. I brought them to work with me this morning and within 15 minutes I had an FE! I tucked in the front handles of both bags, then hot glued the one handle to the bottom of the other bag. I found some red/white ribbon at home and glued a strip of that along the top edge of each bag. I cut out two Mickey heads out of blue foam and glued one to each bag and with liquid paint, put our names on the Mickey heads. Nothing fancy and certainly not as impressive as Erik & Jason’s FE but this is about as crafty as I get ! I feel better having something for the postcards to go into, too. It doesn’t look too bad.

Can’t wait to get to Barcelona…can’t wait to experience jet lag (actually not looking forward to that at all – or the long flight!)…can’t wait for the drink-of-the-day and all the fun the 14 days onboard will bring !!

Just checking in to say that we made it safe, sound and fairly rested. Which means the flight was good, the kids and Glenn slept, and I cat napped.

Barcelona Taxi met us at arrovals and we were off to the hotel. Praktik will hold bags until check in time. Rooms are small, but great storage for all that luggage! Have met a bunch of folks and have once again decided that this is the best group out there!!

Internet sketchy in the room, but computer on first floot spot fills in. Although the soft stool that you sit on leaves a bit to be desired.

Glenn and I are sipping wine on the terrace and will soon call it a night. Not a bad start to our vacation - but love being able to say 2 nore days and we are on the MAGIC!!! See you all soon!!!









PS - ask me about the second formal night when you see me... lets just say it has changed back to night 8...¨
