Sept 18 2010 WB TransAtlantic Pirates/Capt Jacks Re-Repoing Repossession Cruise Pt.10

Sorry for the repost, but I didn't see a reply in the part 9 -

Anyone have any idea what kind of weather to expect while we're crossing the
Atlantic? I don't know if I should throw a few pairs of jeans and a sweatshirt in or not... My wife says weather.com is saying low 70's during the days.

Anyway... if you see six lunatics wandering around with hats that say "1 of 6", "2 of 6"... that's us. I believe I'm "4 of 6". Say hi.

The sea surface temperatures will vary from mid-70s as we leave the Med to the upper 80s as we approach the Caribbean. The still air temperature tends to be a few degrees higher during the day, but then you have to adjust by the wind-chill factor.

Bottom line: moderate but bring a jacket or sweatshirt!

I'm not an expert since this is my first Secret Mickey but my understanding is the same as yours - we deliver gifts during the cruise as little surprises.

It wouldn't be a Secret Mickey if you waited to give the gift in person.

So Im away to get bikini line zapped then not long to go before the off, speak to you shortly.....................

OUCH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Never had it done, Lynne - it scares me!!!! :scared1:

Scares me too ..... :scared1:

Well the ironing has commenced !!!!

I have been to the dotors and got antibiotics and pain relievers for the bladder ... hope it settles down soon.

Will be sooooo glad when the packing is done and dusted !!

Just wish my formal dress would arrive

I am so jealous of all these enormous baggage allowances. I am dreading getting all my stuff in with our lousy 20kg each, especially as I keep buying MORE STUFF !!!

It seems like I spend half my life on Delta airlines. At least now it's paying off!

Oh Sue please don't cry or stress out over this. I have just managed to get our group rotation changed to suit the new dining rotation, and if it has changed again them so be it .. what else can we do :confused3:confused3 . If something is beyond our control now then we can do nothing else but go with the flow and at least we will all be seated together and on the SAME rotation. If my group have 1 formal night in Lumieres I hope they will be happy. By the time we get on board they might have changed it all again anyhow. Which ever rotation, we will all have a fantastic time with wonderful friends and thats what matters right now :hug::hug:

Did you receive confirmation of the change to rotation 3 (PLA)? That's great! And I agree, let it be regardless of any further changes. We'll have a great time!

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: I am so looking forward to Friday evening !!!

Looking forward to it more than you know. I get home tomorrow night, pack, and head to the airport Thursday morning.

Don't sweat it, Michael, my DW and I are on the starboard side - and we've got you covered! The ship may go down, but it won't capsize! :lmao:

See You REALLY Soon!
Richard

Thanks for balancing the ship! :thumbsup2

Shall we sing it together?

MIC..."C" you real soon;
KEY..."Y", because we like you!

OK, I realise I've left it a little late in the day to ask BUT now I'm engaging with the reality of going on a cruise in 4 days...

SO I've booked DCL transfers from BCN to the Magic on the morning of the cruise - does ANYONE know what I should look for once I'm thro' baggage claim??? I've tried searching for this answer but with no joy. I wouldn't be too anxious as a rule but I'll be on my own with my luggage so would love a little prior knowledge... :goodvibes

There should be a DCL representative waiting for you and holding a sign as you leave customs with your luggage.

OK well the Navigator isn't changing lol! Don't worry about it Sue! You've done a great job!

.......and so have you, PJ and Dan, Sarah! Thank you so much!:cool1:

Well my shapewear has arrived this morning so just need to try that on later and I just realised that my second formal dress has yet to arrive ... one that I am having made ... so it has either today or tomorrow to arrive otherwise I will be wearing the same dress twice. :rotfl2:

Hope it gets there in time Sarah!:thumbsup2

Never had it done, Lynne - it scares me!!!! :scared1:

Scares me too ..... :scared1:

WahWahWah, My step mum just came and took my furbaby, Holly.

How is Holly doing?!?!

Moogie is with her GrandMom and Dad... -> My parents.
We left her there on Sunday. Very strange feeling without her.
I totally understand you.
I miss the walks already.

OK so here is the latest version in pdf and hopefully Penny wont mind that I had a play with it too to create this as I know she's busy.

Can people let me know if they want it in another format at all?

Im sure Penny will have her versions done shortly.

Navigator Final Version

Sarah, do you have the Navigator in MS Word (.doc or .docx)?

There should be a DCL representative waiting for you and holding a sign as you leave customs with your luggage.

Yay!!! :yay: Thank you!!!

I did read this on a Med trip report so had started to feel calmer... ;)
We didn’t take Disney transfers, but it was sure exciting to see them waving those Mickey gloves in the airport for the people that did!

Bring on the Mickey gloves!!!

Last of our cunning plans are coming together......:cool1:

......we were planning to get a taxi to Reading station, then the Rail Air coach from the station to Heathrow.....but on investigation that would cost in total £40 for both of us.....while a taxi to Heathrow is also £40........we'll go by private cab then!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Sure, but where I live, we sing it:

MIC..."C" you real soon;
KEY..."Y"? Because we like you!
MOOSE (Because it IS Canada!) :rotfl:

However you spell it, see you Saturday!

Richard

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: The mind boggles... Just as a warning, I am rather shy at these things - tho' I'm going to try and be super brave this time around!!!

No problem, Karen, I'm brash enough for both of us. Actually a closet introvert, but my DW has coaxed me out into the daylight. :3dglasses

I loved your photo - the one with you holding your fists by the side of your head to make Mickey ears. If you do that, I'll recognize you for sure! That should be easy for a shy person, right? :lmao:

Seriously, if you see me (6' 0", slim, long grey/black hair pulled back in a ponytail) and Jacky (about 5' 2", short reddish hair, glasses), don't be shy. We truly are nice people - at least most of the time. :hippie:

See you Saturday!

Richard

Stealing FE's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is Disney! I am always afraid of people stealing what is inside - especially with this group. We have some great things to share!! Hopefully that will not happen.

Sad, we had reports of things going missing from FE on the EBTA. I also read recently about a cruiser who had her FE ruined by someone putting something in it (fruit I think) and smashing it :(

Florida to Minnesota? :scared1:

I guess the kids are gonna need something other than flip flops to get through the winter. It's gonna be a change.

I've been to Worthington, in fact, my sister in law is from Worthington! :)

Kristi[/QUOTE]

It is a small world :)

One day left, can't finish packing until my three littles are done with swim team tonight.

I'm looking at a total of 5 suitcases for the 7 of us. Don't have a scale but, dd7 weighs just under 40 lbs., so We have been comparing her to the packed suitcases and guessing they are all a little under that. Thinking to bring an empty too. Our issue is always not what we take, but always bringing back a lot more than we started with.

We are really planning on relaxing this time, only booked one excursion, loaded the kindles with books, no Palo ressies made and not bringing a laptop.

I was told to look for the DCL logo on a sign or back of a clipboard. In Orlando, the DCL reps are usually wearing blue blazers/coats.

I wasn't going to take mine either. I saw that video a couple months ago and I don't know. Donna, are you bringing yours and will you use it? I always think it would be great to videotape the games you play with everybody and the dinners, but I never want to bother once I am there. Do you actually have fun videotaping?

Sandi, this is a great dilemma.

I absolutely hate carrying a camcorder around and staring at a screen or through a viewfinder. I sometimes feel you miss everything until you get home and look at the video.

On the other hand, I have spent the last few weeks copying old video, including Disney and USA trips in the 1980's onto iMovies and it is great to be reminded of those past adventures (and more hair).

After today, only 1.5 more days of work !!! :cool1:

Thanks again to everyone for their hard work for all of us !!!!!!:cheer2:
