Only a few of us still here. I don't know how I am so calm ! 4 hours of work today; mani/pedi with my sis-in-law and then dinner with the guys for our final "cruise meeting dinner." After a quick visit to say bye to my dad, we'll head home and put the final touches on the suitcases. Pretty much packed--just need to add in a few things. Hoping for a good night sleep tonight ! Our son will take us to the airport at 10:00 a.m. for our noon flight ! I cannot imagine how I will feel tomorrow morning! Or when I land in Barcelona!!! I've never travelled further from Ohio than Florida!!!!! I imagine I will be beside myself with excitement and I know myself well enough to know there will be a few tears too but happy/excited "I can't believe I'm here" tears !

First Flight down, 2 to go. Sitting in Singapore Qantas Club, dreading the next flight, the big one, to London, 13 hours, EW!!!! I just keep thinking, it's one step closer to the Magic!

By the way, my husband caught the snake last night, curled up underneath our loveseat and walked to the swamp area and let it go. I better not see him back!!!

I spent the day with Mum, Sis and Becky and was somewhat relieved to find that Becky seems pretty ok with the new meds so far (*insert picture of crossed fingers here*) She says they're disrupting her sleep but otherwise ok so far.


I feel happier about leaving her now, especially after talking to her and my sister, who is going to be 'on call' if needed

Just checking in to say that we made it safe, sound and fairly rested. Which means the flight was good, the kids and Glenn slept, and I cat napped.

Barcelona Taxi met us at arrovals and we were off to the hotel. Praktik will hold bags until check in time. Rooms are small, but great storage for all that luggage! Have met a bunch of folks and have once again decided that this is the best group out there!!

Internet sketchy in the room, but computer on first floot spot fills in. Although the soft stool that you sit on leaves a bit to be desired.

Glenn and I are sipping wine on the terrace and will soon call it a night. Not a bad start to our vacation - but love being able to say 2 nore days and we are on the MAGIC!!! See you all soon!!!









PS - ask me about the second formal night when you see me... lets just say it has changed back to night 8...¨

Checked in with Delta this morning online and my seat assignment is gone!!!!! Now I have something labeled "seat request" boarding card??? Any one have experience with this?

We had the same thing happen to us this morning when we checked in in Orlando. We're at JFK finishing lunch, headed to the gate momentarily to talk to the gate agent.

Just sitting here in the Toronto airport waiting for our boarding in a little more than an hour. It was nice to catch up on all of your activities over the last couple of days. We've got a full flight o Barcelona at 6:10 PM. It should get us intoBarcelona at 8:55 AM local time Friday. Just heard on the tv here that Hurricane Igor is now a cat 4 and going right over the top of Bermuda. Keep thinking good, dry thoughts for our trip back to the US!

We've got a full flight o Barcelona at 6:10 PM. It should get us intoBarcelona at 8:55 AM local time Friday. Just heard on the tv here that Hurricane Igor is now a cat 4 and going right over the top of Bermuda. Keep thinking good, dry thoughts for our trip back to the US!

A general strike has been announced in France, commencing on the 15th September 2010 and lasting until 23:59 on the 23rd September. French Air Traffic Control will be taking part in this strike action.

As France is centrally located in Europe, this is affecting flights not only to and from France, but also those operating through or near French airspace.

These issues are impacting all airlines and easyJet is working hard to minimise disruption to our passengers during this time.

We therefore strongly advise all customers to check the status of their flight before travelling to the airport."

Probably too late to help anyone, but we flew over France on our flight and had no issues what so ever.

So, Glenn and I shared a glass of wine on the terrace at the hotel, very nice, but it was time to get the kids in bed... OK, so Stephen was in bedm but Becca couldn't sleep with out her mom, so, she joined us... thought I would finish catching up! (Oh - wse learned that you can get a bottle of wine to go from next door, and the the front desk guy has great taste in restaurants!) I think that I forgot to mention that we me the Paula Sillars gang (Pula, Rober, and Marion. Walt and Di were met on the airport (and they sat behind us on the plane. Shoot - we also met others - but my brain is shutting down - SORRY!!! Once landed we ran into Annette and Amanda. Finally saw Alex Turner (who was on out flight, but we didn't see them at the gate) and upon arrival we were greated with a HEY! from kermit Rocks. We ran into Joe and Connie and Michael in the "lounge" before dinner and ended up dining with joe and Connie. They were very kind and put up with a cranky, jet lagged 6 year old!! I love having DIS family!!! All in all. a great way to start, and then end the day!

Gus and I arrived safely in Barcelona yesterday night. However, I wasn't feeling well when we left and ended up going the the hospital at 4am this morning! After having an IV to bring down my fever and taking my first dose of anitbotics I'm just starting to feel better! So glad that I went before the cruise as it turns out I have an upper respiratory infection. Haven't gotten to do much yet since have been mainly resting but did spend some time with Marilyn & John (who are so sweet!).
Hoping to do the hop on hop off bus tomorrow and finally get out there and see some Barcelona!!!
Hope to see some more Diser's soon! Hope you all get here safely and healthfully!

Just completed my online flight check in.

Could have done it an hour ago but I let the time get away from me. Not pleased with our seats, but we'll deal.

So close, but still so much to do. UGH! Another night of just 3-4 hours of sleep. But who cares, I will soon be able to sleep in a blue chair on deck 4

I am still packing. I weighed my first suitcase and even tho it feels very heavy, it only weighs 22lbs!!!
I figured I would be up all night cause I just don't think I can sleep.

I just cannot wait to meet everyone. This past two years has been the best.

We weighed at home - but the scale at home and the airport scale have a 2 lb difference. Good thing I topped at 48lbs... We were 4 checked bags - 50, 50, 47 and one not as close... All in all, not too shabby! Good luck getting everything you want to take packed! We got here and realized we missed stuff... Oh well... Guess I will be getting DH a MICKEY/DCL polo...

Well we are in Barcelona at the Pratik Barcelona. We land around 8:45 a.m I did not not sleep on the plane. Got through custom and Immigrations with no problems. Take a taxi from the port to here. It took about 30 min to get here. It cost about 37 euros and we charge for eight bags. We went and walked around then and we ended walking to La Sagrada Familia. We we got back and check in to our hotel and saw how far the La Sagrada Familia was from our hotel.It was 2.5 miles direct and we were walking randomly. We think we walk around 7 mile already. We will see you at the magic fountain tonight

Are planning to Meet Joe and Connie in the lounge / terrace area at 5:30 tomorrow and will hear out to the HRC meet from there. Anbyine that wants to join - the more the merrier!! We are finally in Barcelona and checked into the Praktik Barcelona. We arrived at the airport around 2:30, got here by 3. Dennis is taking an hour nap since we did not sleep much on the plane last night. Swiss Air is really, really nice though. I'm going to shower (phew! I need it!) and then get Dennis in the shower so we can meet Noel, Melanie and spouses at 6 to go to Flamenco Show and dinner.

So glad that you made it!!! I am thinking that I may have to burn the clothes we flew over in... P...U...

Today, Thurs, we did HOHO bus, red and blue lines. We met other DISers at hotel lounge and are out for dinner. See you Friday night at HRC. Tim

We are sitting at gate in JFK, our flight is leaving at 8 instead of 7. American also popped a gate change on us. Delay ok, sitting here we realized we didn't pack I pad charger. Got a new one that 's even better here with a car adapter

We see many people here headed to the Magic. I thought it was just us on the Dis?
