I have no preference on the lanyards as I've never owned or worn one before. I guess the wide ones are good for those who like to wear pins. I personally wouldn't put pins on it as I'd be worried about losing them, so I'd probably opt for a thin one.

For colours, purple, black or blue sound good :goodvibes

please pass on our thanks to connie for doing this for us, its so nice and such a lovely gesture for her to to this when she isnt even on the cruise this time!

On our upcoming PC cruise, the lanyards are black with, I think, yellow(could be bright green though) writing. They do look very smart indeed.

I quite like the thin ones around my neck, but I do understand the problem for people who want to wear pins. I only wore my WBTA pin and put that low down at the cross over bit, so not a problem to me. Perhaps if the material isn't rough the wide ones would be more comfortable.

Sounds very nice!! I would like to coordinate the colors with our logo. If we use a new logo, then we will have to see what Jordak designs and go from there. If we keep the old logo, then we can use colors from that logo.

Thin ones are nice but I think the wider ones are more comfortable to wear just as you mentioned. Plus, if we have larger badge holders, you can carry more things inside them.

I have always paid a fee even when putting it through as a gift. Not sure if it is because of the money conversion or due to how Paypal get your money from you.

It may be that because PayPal is an American based company that only dollars are able to be transferred with out a fee.

there was a message on that thread i posted on that jordak is taking a bit of a break because they're getting a bit overloaded and as such is getting worn down.
hopefully there might be someone else on there that might be able to help, but just letting you know it might be a while before anyone gets back to us with a cruise logo.

you get my vote for the larger badge holders! on our last cruise, my holder had my KTTW card, my driving licence (in case i got carded for alcohol), a navigator and my CM ID card. it was a bit full!

I know about the message as I am working on the logo for the Inaugual Fantasy cruise. I don't think we are in a hurry, do you?

As another thought, we also did a Mickey Mouse Club night on the last WBTA. Lots of us wore Mickey Mouse Club shirts and ears one night to dinner.

Thanks. I had the same and it got quite soggy when it got wet!!

Sounds like good fun! Haven't got a clue where to get a Mickey mouse club tshirt from though!

From the 2010 WBTA thread (picture is no longer on site)

On a casual dining evening (date yet to be determined), we are planning our own Mickey Mouse Club Night to make us very disguisable to other Magic guests and to one another! It’s also another great photo opportunity! So if you would like to participate, you can purchase your t-shirt(s) at either www.DisneyStore.com or Zazzle.com.

There are variations of t-shirt styles that you can purchase (especially at Zazzle) for the whole family in a wide range of sizes. So choose your favorite style and don’t forget to personalize it with your name on the back in a LARGE font. Some DISers are choosing Impress as their font of choice, but feel free to use whatever you like best!

On a final note, pack your Ears if you have them to go with your MMC shirt!

Note that Zazzle and DisneyStore DO ship internationally.

One point to mention is that on Zazzle's site, they have two circular-looking graphic versions of the Mickey Mouse Club t-shirt. One looks like the one Todd posted, which is identical to the one on Disney's site, and Zazzle also has a second, a less dazzling one, that does not have the "Member" and "1956" reference. The screenprint is also different in color. So please make sure you select the correct one.

The ones on the Disney Store site are very different this year.

I am putting together a Welcome Wagon post for new cruisers. Anyone have any comments or things I should add to post below?

Welcome aboard!! We are Noel and John and this will be our 5th cruise on DCL. Our last cruise was the 2010 WBTA so if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask or PM me.

Please check this first page link of the thread to orient yourself about the cruise, DIS members on the cruise and all the activities planned.

To help you with all the activities that are planned, here is some information to help you decide if you want to participate:

1. If you are interested in participating in the FE, please PM Pat (PFlamingo) with the following details:
Send her your stateroom number, Disboard name, first name of each person in the stateroom, realtionship to you (DH, DW, DD, DS, etc) ages and gender of children. You can cut and paste the format below.
Stateroom #:
Disname:

2. If you are interested in the Candy Swap, please PM Jacqueline (goofieslonglostsis).

3. If you are interested in Secret Mickey Exchange, please PM Karen (karentan).

4. If you are interest in getting a WBTA lanyard, please PM Noel (birkner). See this lanyard link for example of the previous 2010 WBTA lanyard.

Hopefully, a group of DISers will volunteer to underwrite the lanyards as they did last year so they will be free to the rest of the DISers. We already have several people offering to be part of the lanyard underwriting group. If you wish to join, please send Noel (Birkner) a PM. If we get enough members, the cost should be $10 or less per member.

5. If you are interested in a WBTA lanyard pin, please PM Noel (birkner). See this pin link for example of the previous 2010 WBTA pin.Cost will be approximately 4,5 or 5 Euros per pin if we can sell 100 pins.

6. If you are interested in participating in a Mickey Mouse Club night, please check out this Mickey Mouse club post.

7. I am thinking of organizing the same tour I did last year in Madeira. Here is the Madeira link to a PDF file that gives more information about the 2010 tour. If you are interested, please send Noel (birkner) a PM.

Great idea Noel and it's really well worded too :) looking forward to getting more people in the activities

Loving the fact that everything seems to be coming together so quickly now that we've got the new thread!

Oh those are CUTE!!! Sign me up for one. Same goes for the lanyards; I'll take one, please. ;) I'm more pro wider ones -always used wider ones- but smaller is also OK with me if there are more votes for that one. I'm not that difficult on this subject.

These days, my motto is, "I used to teach middle school. Nothing scares me."

Amen! Ending up at dodgy places has it's plusses, I guess. You've got some stories to tell! Can still remember the day my parents found out my uncle had booked them a hotel in Sydneys red light district. Too funny. Since then they've come to expect it, but each time it leads to great stories and a :rolleyes1 look on parents face when they found out they've been booked into an....interesting area by loved ones.

But WOW, how busy it has been this day so far. I'm almost scared to go to sleep and what I'll find back here tomorrow. :goodvibes How to ever catch up.

Oh, who cares? If that's the worst in life, I'll take the challenge on. :3dglasses
