Farewell DIS lunch on the last sea day?????

Are people still interested in this? I heard it mentioned once a long time ago but nothing since?

If people want to do this, then let me know names & numbers and i'll keep a list & add it to my post on the first page. :thumbsup2

hi, this would be lovely, it will be myself and other half john :)

Is it allowed to brag a little?

As some of you might remember I signed up for the wine and dine ½ marathon on October 1th. so I been training for a quite some time now.

I signed myself up for some women races to stay motivated, and have done 2 10 k's so fare (and a 5 k). I'm not a fast runner so both times I finished in 1.07.something, but today I did my third and finished in 59.57:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: I'm so proved of myself:banana:

This will give me the opportunity to start in an early coral giving me more time to finish the half:cool1::cool1:.

Hi There,

I'm Paul and will be travelling with my wife Helen and our daughter Grace (2) on the WBTA.

Hi paul and family!!! i'm karen and i'm cruising with my husband gary. this is our fourth disney cruise but first transatlantic. really looking forward to everything! there's a lot of really good information on the front two pages, and it lists all the activities going on.

 Lots of hugs to you Jacqueline. I hope they don't change your date & that your recovery will be speedy so you are feeling better for the cruise. :wizard:

all the best for the op x

They are more you watch the chefs cook, but I think they are very popular. I believe you get to taste the dishes too.

and you get wine too :)

Which island of you thinking of going diving at? St Maarten? Curt may be interested

yeah forgot to ask, what island are you interested in? we were looking into a diving excursion in tortola as it seems to be the place with the least things to do

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:Awesome!:cheer2::cheer2:

Husband and I ran the Disney World 1/2 marathon in 2010. Let me begin by saying....running and I don't get along at all! Walking....yes.....running...NO! ;) My DH was able to run the whole thing! So proud of him. I, on the other hand, had been training for over a year and 6 months before the race, I had developed tendonitis in my heel so bad I had to wear one of those lovely "orthopedic looking" black boots for 2 months!!! Any way, that threw a kink in my training so I was only able to run a total of 8 miles and had to walk 5 miles. BUT when I finished and got my medal, I felt like I was walking on cloud nine :cloud9: So you brag all you want.....it's a wonderful accomplishment and you should be proud! Good luck on your 1/2 marathon!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

That is a great time I think. We are in WDW on October 1th, so perhabs we can support you. We can speak on it on board and then we can see if we can put it on our planning. Because we are the night before to the MNSSHP and have diner on California Grill on Oct 1th and leave on Oct 2th.

First up; welcome to all the newcomers!! :thumbsup2

I seem to be getting my miracle? Just got the official green light for the operation! Should get it within 4 weeks apparently, but am not holding my breath. They've cancelled way too many appointments so far. I think one hasn't been moved or cancelled, so we decided to assume the date will get moved at least once. Fingers crossed though it gets done a.s.a.p. and the recovery will be one of perfection. If that all comes together, it's cruising I go with you guys. At least this is one big step closer to stepping aboard the Magic in 95 days.

Hi Jaqueline,
I hope that the operation is sceduled within 4 weeks. Then you have time to recover and go with the cruise with us.
I find it so pretty to have another dutchy on the cruise
Dus sterkte en hopen dat het allemaal goed gaat en dat je vlug herstelt.

Hi There,

I'm Paul and will be travelling with my wife Helen and our daughter Grace (2) on the WBTA.

This will be our 1st cruise and we are thouroughly looking forward to it.

From reading through the threads (thanks Granmaz & Mandygirl for the directions) I am amazed at the level of organisation that goes into organising all the activities. I don't know where you all find the time!!!

We think the ideas are great and are particularly interested in the FE, secret Mickey and pub crawl.

Any suggestions to gift ideas for the FE would be greatly appreciated as we are completely new to this.

I thought I was being organised doing research 3 months before the cruise but it would appear i am a late starter. The excursions in Madeira and Tortola look great but it looks like they are fully booked.

Any ideas regarding solo trips would be appreciated for Madeira.

Thanks Goofieslonglostsis for the info on dolphin discovery in Tortola. That looks great and something Grace would love to do.
Can anyone confirm if this is the one that DCL uses for their excursion and if so do they book the places up making it impossible to book the trip independantly?

We arrive in Barcelona on 9th and would also be interested in the Hard Rock meet.

Look forward to seeing you all in September

Paul, Helen & Grace

Hi,
We my son also a Paul (24) and I are also first cruisers. We are from the Netherlands.
We can book the excursions of DCL on june 27th and hope that the one's we want are stil availabel.
In Gibraltar and Madeira we have nothing planned. We are going to the town by ourself en see wath we are going to do. It is all new for us.
We see you at the Hard Rock Cafe in Barcelona.

hi, this would be lovely, it will be myself and other half john :)

Added. :thumbsup2

Were you thinking of organising something specific or are we just going to meet up in one of the open restaurants?

No, it will just be one of the rotational restaurants. I will keep a list of names & numbers so I can warn them in advance if we need lots of large tables. :)

i do need to sort out the secret mickey as there's a few impatient shopaholics :rotfl: who want to get started ;)

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: "My name is Claire and I am a shopaholic"

Thanks.....I can't wait!!! :teeth:

I would love to do this and if you get it organized, shall I add to Welcome Wagon post?

Added to the list. :thumbsup2

Yes please add it to the welcome wagon, thanks.

Is anyone considering this? I believe there has to be 4 people in the group to go. We are interested if anyone else is thinking about it.
