:rotfl:
Claire we were there on the 11th too...how funny is this. We've probably passed each other on numerous occasions.

Wow, so funny! It really is A Small World afterall. :goodvibes

I have just won 2 cruise dresses on Ebay ... a simple little black cocktail dress and a red / purple dress from Monsoon. Thanks to Marilyn who gave me a little tip on how to win auctions !! ;)

:dance3: Well done, any pics or links?

So pleased it worked!!! Amazing really isn't it? You just have to be careful not to give things away to anyone who might be bidding on the same things as you are though!!!

Come on spill the beans :teeth: Is it the waiting until the last second bidding thing?

Taxes are due April 18 in the US but I'm leaving town on the 11th, so not much time left... and it's beautiful outside with the dogwood trees, flowers, azaleas all in bloom (and I am fortunate not to have allergy problems).

Aww you poor thing, I hate that job!

It made me laugh that you said about not having any allergies. My puppy girl had to have allergy tests a year or so ago as she lost lots of her fur, was chewing her paws, had sores all over her face and neck. It turns out I have a dog that is allergic to all types of trees & grass! Just typical! :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Ooooh I love decorating, but we are still okay with the decor since we moved in

I seem to have spent the weekend so far running around after DD and her boyfriend, looking forward to getting spoiled tomorrow

I had a great day, went into town and got a new dress and new shoes :yay:

We love decorating too but only the nice bit....not all the horrid preparation!

We only decorated our Kitchen about 3 years ago when we literally gutted it, had a chimney breast removed, all new cupboards, appliance etc but Lee has never liked the colour. So far we have put up coving, sanded all the walls, as you can imagine it made a huge mess.

Yay for the new dress & shoes STEVIE :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Any pics?

Stevie saw an article online that DCL are opening an office in London as they want to have a presence in Europe and hinting that they may put a ship here permanently, we can but dream and hope !!

In an ideal world they might do an eastern med itinerary alternative too and take in Greece, Turkey, Cyprus and Eastern Italy, which would include Venice of course, now that would be amazing :cool1:

Ooooh that would be fab, fingers crossed!

The above was me, I didn't realise that DH was still signed in :lmao:

Hey guys, what will be doing in 160 days.... those of us in late seating will just be getting acquainted with our dining servers and some of you will be going to the theatre

:dance3: :dancer: :dance3:

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Bring it on!!!!

We have been lucky. Last year we had the lovely Leslie but he has now gone to the Dream. Beofre that in 2008 we had Dennis, who as far as I know is still on the Magic. We could always request Dennis :thumbsup2

I would happily have Dennis again no probs :thumbsup2

Our other favs have gone to the dream, which we will request in August or are on the Wonder.

Villains Tonight is one of the stage shows; based on what I've read here, many people wear black or purple in honor of the villain in Little Mermaid.

If they're doing Golden Mickeys stage show, that is sometimes a dress night, with gold being the main color (this show came off the Magic about a year ago, but is now on the Wonder - so might not apply to us).

Prince and Princess night is traditionally formal night.

Captain's Gala is often semi-formal.

Expect two formal nights and one semi-formal. Does that sound about right, folks?

Thanks so much auntlynne that's great, I already have a purple cocktail dress and a long gold one.............so that will do nicely:cheer2:

Yeah our house is 1930's, when we bought it all the bedrooms had original sinks in! :scared1: Over the past 7 years we have gutted each room and totally redone it all, windows, electrics, bathrooms, ensuite, fireplaces, removed a chimney, knocked out walls, the list goes on!!! It has been a lot of hard work but worth it. Just the garden/patio/decking & a shower room left to do now but they are on hold for a bit.

:lmao: It did make me laugh, poor Stevie!

Fab dresses but OH MY those shoes are gorgeous!

Gosh you have had your work cut out for you. You won't know what to do with yourselves when you are finished !

The shoes just had to be purchased, they are so comfy, the platform is all soft and spongy :thumbsup2 Do you know that flutter you get when you see something you just gotta have :lmao: I got that today when I saw the shoes :rotfl:

We will need to start decorating all over again as the first rooms need doing already! Thats what you get when you have two messy slobbery dogs that charge around like loony's......

Oh I know that feeling VERY well! ::yes::

That fireworks dress is fab! all the stitching and sequins :thumbsup2
It'll be fun with those shoes.

Again with the British slang - what does "I've lost the plot" mean? :goodvibes...
...Sorry Lynne.

It was mean't as in I have gone of the rails / not doing well with my dieting....

Friday night, :happytv: Law & Order UK, I hear "She's lost the plot." There's that phrase again.

I enjoy reading the posts by you Brits/Scots with your slang that you probably have no clue it is unique to your area.

:lmao: I had prepared you for your Friday night in front of the TV.

Feel free to ask if you need anything translating. ;)

Noo jist haud on, Ah dinnae ken whit yer talkin aboot??:rotfl2:

Yes, we've got one in the garden. When we bought this new house a few years ago, the garden was a blank canvas with top soil, so we designed the garden round it and got the builders to put in the necessary electricity supply. We did overindulge and put it inside a swiss cabin so that we could use it all year round, due to our lovely weather, and there is a tv down there too. It's linked to the sky/cable so we can watch the programmes down there :lmao: It's really Stevie's hydro-therapy pool for his bad back and gives him lots of relief :thumbsup2

Oooooh, Mary/Stevie, we're coming to visit you, then!

Taxes are due April 18 in the US but I'm leaving town on the 11th, so not much time left... and it's beautiful outside with the dogwood trees, flowers, azaleas all in bloom (and I am fortunate not to have allergy problems).

Hey, that's right - it's the 18th this year, not the 15th! Alright!! Three extra days to procrastinate! Though I don't know why - with my one business tanking and being unemployed for 5 months, I should get most of it back. Need to. Need to pay for the cruise. (Once again, my slightly messed up priorities!)

Sounds like you have an older house then? We've always had new builds, less work for a DH with a spinal injury:thumbsup2

Oh. My. Goodness! That fireworks dress and those shoes are absolutely delish!! The other dress is pretty, too. I'm just such a sucker for cute shoes, though!

Noo jist haud on, Ah dinnae ken whit yer talkin aboot??:rotfl2:

Okay, I actually understood that. :scared1: Having been raised by Canadians, I acquired the "eh" habit at the end of sentences, and a tendency to say oot and aboot and hoose. Living in middle Georgia, where each of those words is two to three syllables (ow-ut, uh-bow-ut, how-us), I'm often asked about my "accent." :rotfl:

Noo jist haud on, Ah dinnae ken whit yer talkin aboot??:rotfl2:

Now that was absolutely clear! :thumbsup2 No slang - could it be from watching Scottie on Star Trek all those years ago? (and I don't think he's even Scottish, is he?)

or it it the Kenney, Ritchie, and Stevenson in my background? and all the hillbillies in the South who are actually just misplaced Brits/Scots (I think Brit is supposed to cover English and Scots, but I don't like lumping the Scots in - they are a different people :goodvibes)

Surprisingly DH was the one who rushed out to buy something suitable for Villains night. :lmao: I haven't even started to look yet. Had never thought of looking on eBay before for dresses, but wil now :thumbsup2.

Gorgeous dresses and shoes Mary .... I love Monsoon :thumbsup2

Sounds like our place .... hopefully we are about to embark on a project which will extend the whole ground floor to give us a bigger bedroom for DS, and make the kitchen and living room a lot bigger. Then we want to put a conservatory on the back and sort out the garden. :scared1::scared1: I really want it done, but haven't started the ball rolling because I am dreading the mess. Plus we will be without a kitchen for a while :scared1: We are just looking for an architect at the moment.

Noo jist haud on, Ah dinnae ken whit yer talkin aboot??:rotfl2:

I understood that .... mind you I was sitting at a table with 4 Scottish folks on our last cruise :thumbsup2

Now if I started speaking Welsh ........

" Rydw i ddim yn gwybod beth ach yn siarad am "

:dance3: Well done, any pics or links?

Come on spill the beans :teeth: Is it the waiting until the last second bidding thing?

When the dresses arrive I will take photos ... I can't seem to copy photos off Ebay for some reason :confused3 Yes .... I waiting until the last 5 seconds and did it through a website which does last minute bids for you.

I'm not going to lie, it is horrid whilst the work is being done but it's so worth it in the end when it's all finished. We had to survive without a cooker for two months! It was a nightmare!

Ahhh I have heard of that but not used it before. I look forward to seeing your photos. :)

:flower3: :flower3: Happy Mothers Day to all the UK mum's today, I hope you all get spoilt. :flower3: :flower3:
