Granmaz my real name is also Aurore (Yes I have a Princess name, it was destiny lol)
My husband's name is Iestyn (he's also french but his mother comes from Wales ;) )

What a beautiful name, I love it. I saw your husband's name and immediately thought Welsh. Now I wonder how you pronounce it.

Welcome aboard from us too. We are Michelle and Neil from the UK.
Michelle - those labs are so sweet! just want to hug one of them. Now you need to make more posts so we can see them more often.

Thank you Lynne, believe me I would love to post lots more but for some reason I have problems with it timing out, or just loading most of the time.

For those that own at OKW; apart from taking the boat, is there a walkway from OKW to DTD like there is at SSR? I don't really care about distance (not as if I'm doing the walking anyway  ) but just have been spoiled rotten with the easiness of walking to DTD after our last years 3 week stay there. Love the freedom of not having to wait for transportation, esp. with WPE being one of my main foodsuppliers ;) . Also it is great being able to walk back to the room after just popping off of the Lynx bus at DTD after a day of hardcore shopping. :goodvibes

Jacqueline I don't own at OKW but stayed there last year. I believe you can walk to DTD from OKW but I have not done it.
I have also read that the pathway closes at 6pm..
Found this for you

Bonjour et bienvenue Aurore :welcome: to the Disboards and our happy bunch of cruisers. We are Mary and DH Stevie and we are from Scotland.

Aurora is our favourite Princess, what a beautiful name you have :lovestruc

How fantastic you are celebrating onboard. Remember to let DCL know so that they can make a fuss of you on the day.

I notice you are from the French Riviera. We will be visiting there in about a month's time when the ship docks at Villefranche. We plan on visiting Monaco and Nice. Any tips on must sees would be fantastic :)

Thank you all for your welcome !!
I'm very happy to join the community :cheer2:

I have just book a 3nights in Animal Kingdom Lodge at WDW, a beautiful way to end up our cruise!!!!
I'm very excited cause it will be our first time in a deluxe at Disney..
Iestyn fell in love with this resort when we had a dinner at Boma 2 years ago, so I surprised him with this good news

Tod&Copper and Granmaz thank you for the compliment about my name!
It's a very classic name in France and because I love Disney and the parks everyone tease me
Granmaz to pronouce Iestyn it's quite simple : Yes-tin, and for me you can say Aurora it's fine ;)

I'm happy to help !! Iestyn and I we live in Antibes (between Cannes and Nice)
It's a very charming place...there is a beautiful old town with it's old Provencal market, a great marina with crazy Billionaires Boat, the Picasso Museum and some beaches

As for Nice and Monaco I'm not a big fan (there are the "big cities" for me :lmao:) but if you want to go there you shoud visit the Old Town of Nice and try for lunch la Socca, or la Pissaladière, or le Pan Bagnat and of course la Tapenade who are Nice food specialities !! And I LOOOVE them!! lol

In Monaco the Palace, the Casino and the Oceanographique museum are great place to visit, when I was a child I loved this place!
But be aware that Monaco is a bit more expensive than the other cities on the Riviera ;)

And to get there from Villefrance the easiest way is the train

I hope it help you a little bit ;) and please feel free to ask me anything

I thought that would be how you say Iestyn. Sometimes it isn't so simple.

You live in a beautiful area.

Thanks Michelle! This is why I love this thread, always somebody that has the answer to any WDW or DCL related question. :thumbsup2

Chris, do you still want those many European paid vacationdays per year? I've got a job opening that comes with at least 3 weeks paid vacation, easily turns into twice that much. Can I charm you into packing up and moving across the Atlantic?;)

Sigh, have one of those "don't like to have them, but sometimes you need to have them" talks coming up. The big downside I guess of being an employer. Have decided to give my current household aid the boot. Work is below standard and results in downright dangerous situations. I've more than had it and realise it needs strong handling before things get really beyond bad. All nice and peachy, but am expecting some possible not professional reactions during that talk. Not looking forward to that but much less looking forward to finding replacement and juggling the situation until that moment. It is easier to get Mickey to make a housecall (the actual one, with him showing up at your doorstep with some flowers and all  ) than find somebody that wants to do this job. Never mind me paying a decent wage, offering longterm contract and all kinds of benefits, unfortunately overhere most only want to do this work.....well let's just call it without paying the obligated taxes. Not an option so I'm seriously hunting a new aid at the moment.

THE U.S. MILITARY DISCOUNT IS OUT FOR THE WBTA!!!!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Sorry to shout there, but this is what I've been waiting for!! And I wanted to share the info with anyone else who can use it.

I just got off the phone w/ DCL. They transferred our original deposit to the new ressie and gave us our same cabin number. Easy peasy!! Okay, I had to wait on "hold" for a while, but they were playing music from "Lilo & Stitch," so I was fine with that.

I can't tell you how happy this makes me! We're saving a ton of money. Now I don't have to feel so guilty about spending the money on this.

Oh, and Karen, please remove the ? from our names on the roll call. WE ARE GOING!!

So please excuse my exuberance here, but...

:cheer2::woohoo::yay::dance3::yay::woohoo::cheer2:

Congrats, Pat!! All the nail biting waiting and waiting has finally paid off. And the same for others that can take advantage of the discount. :cool1:

How much of a good promo is it? Are you guys getting around the same discounts as we did with the MEO? Sure hope you did anyways!

I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed for this, too!

Definitely have to crunch the numbers on this! If they offer the same percentage off that they did on the EBTA, it would still be worth it for us even if we're in the 89-45 day range, where we only lose the deposit. We'd still save something like $1500. Beyond that, it wouldn't be worth it. I'm still hoping they'll offer it in the next couple of weeks. June 12th is D-day (as in Deposit day). Like I said above - fingers and toes crossed!!

Military deal IS OPEN!!!!!!!! I got my Reservation moved over. saved me $2000.00
