Yeesh...someone help me. My 6yo dd started kindergarten this year, and I fully expected separation anxiety back in September. Nope, she was fine.
Fast forward to now, after a week and a half of a horrible cold that morphed into the flu, she was out of school for just under a week. Yesterday she was crying in the am, saying her tummy hurt, etc. Her teacher couldn't get a hold of me, I was in between work and home. By the time I called her back from work (I can see the school from my work, thank goodness it's that close), dd was fine and all.
This morning, she told me her tummy hurt. I told her if she skipped school, she wasn't riding her snowmobile nor going to gymnastics. (sounds drastic, I know, but those are her favorite things and it was all I could think of). Last week when she was really sick, it was obvious, so I truly believe she's just wanting to stay home. Blagh...here's hoping there's no calls from school today.
Help, anyone? What should I do to help her?
