Two suitcases being brought: One for me, one for DH, should a small, extra, empty one be tagged along, too for souveniers? Did I even spell that right? My head is spinning, lost in the Dis Magic!!:wizard:  Or is it something we'll regret having to drag along when we leave? I'm talking, small suitcase, but larger than the Disney bags the gifts come in, or course!! Hmmmmmmm

I would bring an extra checked suitcase....we filled our extra one with water bottles and snacks..then filled it up with gifts

Hi Thunder:
I am originally from Gretna LA but now in Chicago. What is it about Louisianians that get so lost in the Magic?? Anywho, mayne consider a duffle bag that would pack easily. So for teh trip home use teh suitcase for breakables (mugs, etc) and the duffle for clothes...
Probably easier to pack and lighter re: weight limits if flying...

This is what we do and it works reall, really well! Have a Magical trip!!

Another option is to bring a duffle bag or similar that folds flat. I have a couple of duffle bags that fold flat so when I am on vacation, I pack it in my suitcase. Since it folds flat, it doesn't take up any room. Then when I am going home, I fill it with the heavier things from my suitcase including non-breakable souvenirs and check it as my second bag. The reason I put the heavier things in it (just make sure that it is sturdy) is so that I can balance the weight of my checked bags and keep my suitcase under 50 lbs.

Yes I would definately suggest another suitcase.
The first time I went to on vacation without an extra suitcase was to NYC back in March and boy was I mad at myself for not bring one.
Took me a good hr and half to get everything packed back up to leave. :(
