Tonight was one of the rare nights, that the Magic or Wonder is in port after dark. Stephen and I had both talked about getting off the ship to take pictures. Stephen ended up going to take pictures. I stayed on the ship.

Eventually we both headed to bed.

I am loving your TR. I did the WB in May so I'm very curious as to the differences.

It may not matter to you but when I have them split the beds I ask them to put both night stands in the middle and the beds against the wall. It really opens up the room and gives you more space to move around.

Keep the pictures coming.....

Yeah we are cruisin' now & I am all caught up.
Loving all the pictures so far. I especially love the photos of the Magic in port at night. What a beautiful sight to see.
Do you & your brother get along all the time Becky? You must because you keep cruisin' together. I think I could get along with mine for a few days being in a room together, but not sure about on a PC cruise.
Keep up the good work.

I saw you and your brother all over the ship and I was sure you were newlywed because of how sweet he was with you and how good you were about your foot. The foot sure didn't stop you from doing everything and your brother was wonderful taking care of you. I would never had guessed you were brother and sister. You're parents did an amazing job with you both!

Thank you for the trip report it's wonderful reliving the trip again!!

Hi Becky!

I just found your TR so I wanted to say hi before I started reading. Remember me from the Eastern last year?

Ok I'll go read now :goodvibes

I'm so jealous you got to see Mariachis! I love listening to their music. I have to make sure I see Mariachi Cobre in Mexico at EPCOT whenever I'm at WDW. I'm all caught up, you may proceed

Jennifer- I do remember you from the Eastern Cruise last year. How are you doing?

For the most part, now my brother and I get along. Although on this cruise it was too much time together, as I couldn't really get away all that well. At times he was totally driving me nuts. I was kind of at his mercy and kindness, as I could not get around that well by myself. By the end of the cruise I was going off by myself but could not handle long distances and things by myself.

Although we ended up cruising just the two of us for two years in a row. Neither trip was originally supposed to be just us. Although last year we knew much further ahead of time that it was just the two of us or we were not going at all.

Sorry for the delay in posting, my life has been pretty busy since I am back from the trip. This is the first weekend since I am back that I did not have to work any day during the weekend.

I am still not sure how much posting will occur but I will try to continue posting the report. I hope that all of you are doing well.

Sea Day

So today was I think the only day that we ate breakfast in Lumiere's. Lumiere's was not open everyday for breakfast. Some days it was open for brunch. But most days we just slept in and got up after they had breakfast available there.

Now why was I up early enough for breakfast on a sea day?? I had planned a Scout patch swap event and it started at 9:30am in the Promenade Lounge. Was this the best time for this event probably not. Although I figured people would want to do other things later in the day. So a few participants sent others in their place or were unable to attend.

The kids that did attend had a good time. After the patch swap, the girls moved to Diversions as they were working on a Try-It/ Badge on travel. We moved to Diversions as the Mickey 200 was occurring in the Promenade Lounge. Tracy(winotracy) from Dreams Unlimited came and talked to the girls and they did several other activities to complete the awards.

We headed back to the room and our Castaway Club invites were waiting for us.

We then headed to the Panama Canal Presentation being put on by Ken Puckett. It was very informational and a good way to learn more about the canal. He was a senior canal pilot on the canal.

Before long it was time for the Castaway Club reception to occur. Since there were over 2000 CC members it was held on deck 9 by the Goofy Pool. They had food and drinks for us. It was the largest group of CC members to sail.

Then we headed to Studio Sea, for Who Wants to Be a Mouseketeer. Our tablemate Suzanne ended up being chosen to play.

They had trays and trays of them and not that many people showed up. I think it was because, they knew if they wanted to enjoy Acapuclo we all needed to get off the ship and be back on by 1pm in order to get to the Panama Canal on time.

Acapulco

So today was our shortest time period in any port. Since we were only in this port until 1pm. We knew if we wanted to disembark, we needed to not sleep in until noon. We were thinking about going over to the fort directly across from the port. Well the time all the DISers were meeting it was raining.

So we stayed on the ship a bit longer, waiting to see if the weather would clear. Although by this time I was already getting to the point where I was thinking staying on the ship would not be a bad thing.

We did eventually decide to get off the ship for a short period of time as it stopped raining.

We started to head back to the ship. We did not stay out long, but wandered around some

DSC08116.jpg

Before we got back to the ship, a port authority employee stopped me and asked if he could have my lanyard as he collects them. I did end up giving it to him, as I had several other Castaway club lanyards. He was so excited to have a DCL lanyard. I was so glad that I could make his day.

DSC08126.jpg

It was of neat that we were greeted with a character when we got on the ship and left. We know they were not out there the entire time.

DSC08139.jpg

Car anyone?? There were loads of cars waiting by the port

Once back on the ship, we headed to Topsiders for lunch. We were going to join our tablemates for lunch outside. We are glad we chose not to as it started to rain cats and dogs sideways. Can I just say I was glad I was on the ship and not out in the rain.

The wind knocked the chair over

Hi Becky! Always fun to read your posts- you're so great with all the photos!!:thumbsup2

Becky,
Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving.
Loved the lastest updates........Cute pictures of Mickey & Minnie waving you goodbye/hello as you go off & on the ship.
Were the people in Acapulco aggressive? We went to Mexico in 2003 & the vendors/shop owners etc in Puerto Vallarta were really aggressive & it left me with a very bad taste in my mouth for Mexico. (Just my experience)
