Sending Pin Codes to people who already have reservations

Doesn't it seem like the number is higher this year for people who already have reservations (possibly already using a pin code) to receive another pin code? I wonder what the thought process is behind that. You would think it is more to Disney's advantage to try to entice people who haven't already made a reservation.

Okay, so maybe I am a little disgruntled because I haven't got a pin code. LOL
 
I haven't gotten any pincodes ever so I had to book.
I was wanting to wait then when I went to book just the
standard room at AK lodge for end of Sept. they were not
available. I booked pool view and I am so hoping for FD to
be offered for our dates. I also hope I will be able to apply
the discount if it is offered, like the CM assured me I could.
I hope everyone gets a discount.
 
Depends - I have a res for the fall with free dining (bounceback) and my first one and only PIN was for the same thing, same dates!

And I'm registered to everything, dual accounts, have a DVR, been there countless times via AAA, central res and even as a conventionear...

As advanced as we all like to think that the Disney computer systems are.. sometimes the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing..

ADD to that .. sometimes when people are already booked and receive a PIN offer with a wide range of dates, they decide to take two trips .. the original trip and another..

I have to say in ten years of going once a year to Disney, I have never gotten a pin code until a few weeks ago - and I had already booked my trip in December 2010, and the cruise portion of my trip in December 2011 - the code they sent me was not for when I was going, so I didn't use it.
 
I've never gotten a pin before this year and I feel like I've finally stumbled upon a gold mine now. I got one in Nov/Dec, booked 3 trips (Jan, May and Sept) with it. We ended up going in Feb on a short last minute trip as well. Since then I have gotten the alice half year round pin, a couple free QSDP pins, and the kids stay, play and eat for free pin.

Funny thing is I cancelled all the original pin ressies rebooked with the AP discount for Feb and May and they are still sending them to me. DH has been getting them on his email account too.

I am greatful that I am so blessed with the good deals but everytime I get one i have to rerun the numbers all over again to make sure I'm getting the best deal possible.
 
We did get our first PIN (allowing us to book moderate for 35% off). I look on WDW website often and play with the reservations system. I priced many trips but never booked, and doing this usually resulted in a pop-up survey asking why I didn't go ahead and book. I usually answered that we couldn't afford to go without a special offer or PIN code. Then it came...so, maybe this strategy helped?

Now, I see people getting free QSDP, which I would really have preferred (would be worth $600 as opposed to $400 our PIN gave us). Not to be greedy, but I hope we get that offer so I can switch from the PIN to QSDP. I will be actively hoping for everyone else to get PIN offers or free dining!
