Sending packages to hotel ahead of time

We are going to be in WDW during Christmas and was wondering about shipping a box with a few gifts to the hotel-Pop Centruy- ahead of time so our kids will have xmas gifts there. Has any one done this and if so how. Do I need to call ahead to the hotel and see if they will keep it there for me? How far ahead do I need to do this? Is it cheaper UPS or Fed Ex? I was only thinking 1 toy each for my daughter and son, so it should not be too heavy. I figured they are going to be getting so much while we are there that one toy should be enough.

I'm sending a box ahead to POR-Riverside and they told me no problem. Just mark it with hold for guest, your name and arrival date.

We arrive on a Saturday; I'm sending it on Tuesday so it'll def be there.

If it's something big, I think UPS costs less than the others...it also takes a few days longer.

We did this with a mini Christmas Tree (FedEx through florist website). Just make sure that you have your name, and your arrival date on the package.

Another great idea is to save the box you use to send things there and send stuff back home with it. We had popcorn buckets, glow in the dark cups, & a ton of other stuff that we just didn't have room to pack in our luggage and it was great being able to just pack it in a box and send it home. We went to the front desk the day before our last day and had it sent UPS. It really wasn't too expensive either!

good idea about sending stuff home. I had wonder about that but not sure if we could send it out from the hotel. Thanks for the idea!!
