I always send an amazon prime pantry box ahead of our trip to send down water, breakfast food and snacks when we go to Disneyworld. Since I have 2 full night stay BEFORE the beginning of trip I wanted to do same for ABD. It is mostly water with snacks. I am following the 1 bag per person rule however my water/snacks will be an extra box when we transfer on day 3. Is this ok? I can always stuff the bottles of water thru the 3 bags of luggage .....

You will get a duffel bag the first day of the ABD to schlep extra stuff onto the bus. You could throw stuff into that. Whether there's room in the bus or not really depends on how many people you have on your departure. If the box will fit in the overhead rack on the bus, I think you'll be find regardless.

Oh, then you shouldn't have a problem if it stays that way. You'll probably be able to just throw it on an empty seat.

Quick question - are you having the Amazon box sent to your hotel before you arrive? I've never tried that. Are the hotels okay with you doing that?

yes Amazon prime pantry is available to prime members for 5.99 shipping and prices REALLY cheap. I am sure you can do flat out prime as well but prices better on pantry and you can sometimes find free prime pantry ship code. I did this 3x last year at WDW but if the hotel you are staying at has a business center there will be a small charge, like YC or Corondao Springs. But for example POFQ no charge. What you do is sent to hotel directly and put your last name AND your reservation number on shipping label c/o when filling out amazon prime pantry online. Then when we checked in at Disney, you let them know you sent it, they have it stored somewhere and Bell SErvices will deliver. Make sense?

This is just me, but to be on the safe side, I would call the first hotel you're sending the package to and make sure they'll accept packages like that. What Disney does is not necessarily what hotels that ABD uses will do. They likely will, but I'd hate to have the package sent and have the hotel refuse the shipment.

Scottmel- Are your pre-days through ABD? If so, Breakfast is included. That might help you save some money.

And have cash for food anyways in case the shipping fails.

I just called anywhere from 5 to 15 depending on weight of box...but now that I learned I get a breakfast from the previous poster..my only real concern is water b/c DH just reminded me we get a car AFTER ABD before we go to languna beach so I can stock up on stuff I will need for beach leg of trip. So my only real issue is lots of water, I have to drink A LOT a day for medical reasons...was hoping airport transfer guy would let me run into C store??

I won't say not to buy your own water, but I want you to know that the Guides will provide you with a TON of water. I have to drink a LOT of water, also, and I've never had a problem! They'll give you as many as you ask for on the bus, and they'll let you take one or two back to your room with you, etc. That's one (of many) of the great parts of doing an ABD!

I don't know about the airport transfer guy. You might want to ask ABD or your TA that question. But see my reply above about the Adventure Guides.

thanks! Great to know! Then I think I will save myself the hassle of delivering and lugging the water everywhere. The other snacks were just stuff for DD but I can tuck those in the luggage..she eats like a bird so I like to have stuff handy to encourage eating so that way I can cover that thru the luggage (just nuts, goldfish, almonds, etc) And the water sounds like it takes care of itself. I will ask the guy that picks us up and tip him if he does make the stop as I was told NOT to tip him as it was included with trip...would this be an accurate statement?

The Adventure Guides will provide you with tons of snacks, too. They usually have a basket or two filled with misc snack food on the bus, and, like the water, will let you (and sometimes encourage you) to take extras. I think you're good unless DD is seriously picky about snacks.

And yes, the tip for the driver is included in the cost of the trip!

Which trip is this, btw? I highly doubt the driver will stop for water but you'll probably have a place where you can buy it near your hotel, when you arrive.

And yes, most pre-days include breakfast if booked through ABD. I think only the long weekend trips don't.

Thanks for the response! I've never tried out the Amazon Pantry feature, but it's always good to have in the background as an idea.

It is the Backstage Magic in CAlifornia...I am betting they will. Can't hurt to ask?

I'm pretty sure your hotel in CA will be close enough to a place selling water anyhow. So ask and even if you get a no, the hotel can point you some place.
