Send me some pixie dust as defense to my crazy BIL

Alright here comes my dirty laundry. Need to get something off my chest and thought my 55,000 DIS friends could help (thanks Delswife).

My BIL is totally insane (loonier then a tune) and treats my sister like crap (hasn't even taken her on a honeymoon in the 9 years they've been married). I am planning to take my sister and 4 fantastic nieces and nephews to Disney World and on the Disney Cruise (we even got adjoining SPH rooms). He's reluctantly agreed that we can go but I am so afraid that last minute he'll say they can't go and I'll be out a lot of money (remember he's crazy and historically has changed his mind last minute). I don't need to make final decisions to 60 days out which isn't for a while but my other sister says there is no way he will let them go. Imagine denying your kids Disney!

I know there are much better needs for pixie dust out there, but if I could get a little my way - that would be great.

When you say you're taking your sister and her children does that mean you're paying for everything? If so, why can't your sister just tell her husband tough we're going? I'm sorry your BIL is difficult and doesn't treat your sister well. I truely hope everything works out. It's cruel to get kids excited about something and then tell them it's not going to happen. I hope their father doesn't do this to them. I just wonder why anyone would put up with that kind of treatment for so long.

Thanks for your quick responses. Yes - I am paying for the whole trip but I know he'll never take them and since I don't have kiddies yet.

As far as my sister is concerned, I think she's scared to be on her own with four young kids. Plus she is staying with him "for the kids".
