Semi-Live from the Magic - Jan 8/Jan 13 | B2B | MDAS - Happy to Answer Any Questions!

Does anyone think that the return of the marvel deck party is the beginning of the return of other deck parties, like the pirate shows?

Thx! Looks like y’all r having fun. Btw, how was the water temp at castaway?
Good question! My CC day is Tuesday (if I’m able to board Monday, so nervous even though I took a PCR last night that shows negative), and the high is only 69.

I don't know. They did a Frozen deck party on the Magic over the summer and they did a Mousequerade deck party (instead of the usual atrium show) for the Halloween cruises, too. But those didn't translate into much of anything else. They were smaller affairs, scheduled at the same time as the normal nightly shows so that the crowds would be split up. For Halloween, they showed Hocus Pocus in the main theater at the same time as Mousequerade to further split the crowds.

It sounds like the Marvel deck party is similar. Not a full on whole ship deck party like Sail Away or Pirates. :(

Have they started letting guests pour their own drinks at the drink station and get their own ice cream cones? Heard a rumor they might have done this.

Thank you.

I picked up the magic version of this mug in November. It was in the fancier shop near the check out stand.
have a great time on your trip! We will be back for MDAS on January 31

Thanks for the info....our Jan 22 Magic just changed to a double dip at CC since we are not going to Grand Cayman. Just got the email. Also, did you happen to notice if they had this mug onboard for the Magic? We have the Dream and Fantasy and want to add to the set. Thanks.

Drink fountains yes—back to self serve. Ic cream and hot drinks are still staff served.
This is correct.

A couple of other updates:

1. No real pirate night deck party on the second cruise. Just the fireworks which lasted maybe 5 minutes. If you want a deck party, the MDAS is where it's at.

2. On the 4-night cruise, they are doing Tangled twice on the first two evenings, as I noted. The third evening is just a movie in the theater. (Encanto it was on this sailing.) I presume they want to give the cast a break. Dreams is then run three times on the final day: at 1.00pm, 6.00pm and 8.30pm.

Full house in Nassau on Day 2 of the second cruise:

Celebrity Apex, Carnival Elation, and Scarlett Lady (VA) in this frame, and another Carnival ship on the other side.

And the CC day on the second cruise - yesterday, that is - had the best weather of the entire trip.

Got this mug on Magic at end of November. Only one I didn’t get (yet) is Wonder

Any chance you took screen shots of the menus? If so, would you mind sharing? (I'm very hungry lol and also curious for our Feb 28 MDAS!)
If not, could you confirm if they are still offering the Black Truffle Pasta Purseittes at Animators? Thanks! I'm glad you had such a wonderful experience!

How was the departure process for disembarkation? Did you get assigned a dining room by your evening dining rotation? How quickly did they get everyone off the ship? Last time we went on a cruise (pre covid) there was a strike by the customs officials and it took forever to get thru the line ...

Confirmed. The MDR menus have not really changed since pre-Covid, although Palo is different.

We were recently onboard and yes, they had the Black Truffle Pasta Purseittes.

We were recently onboard. We were asked to return to the same dining room as our last dinner restaurant if we wished to eat there for the disembarkation breakfast. We did not leave our room until close to 8am and by the time we ate breakfast (we ate at Cabana's), it seemed like anyone could leave.
