Selling with Ressies after sale

Just wondering if anyone knows if you sell your points but you have ressies after the sale will there be a problem with the ressies. Does the name change, can you still use the points. We are thinking of selling our points but have ressies in Oct. and still want to take that vacation is this possible?

If you sell your points the reservation will be cancelled. You can list the contract for sale but you can't close until after the checkout date for your vacation or it will be cancelled as well.

You cannot close on a sale with a pending reservation.

If you want to keep your reservation, you would not be able to close on the sale until afterwards.

But it is possibly to get a buyer ahead of time. I am selling a contract right now and advertised it as not being able to close before my August trip. I put it up in April, got a buyer, it went to Disney, passed ROFR, and we are just waiting to close. The papers will be signed and ready to go ahead of time.

As soon as we check out in August, they will close the contract. There are buyers out there who may want a delayed closing (they don't have to pay for it until then, other than the deposit).
