Selling on ebay (the pre-school version please!)

Hi All!

I have so much stuff at home that I need to get rid of. I was hoping to have a yard sale this past summer, but I never got around to it. I thought maybe I could spend my winter selling the stuff on Ebay.

How hard is it to get started?

How would I determine shipping?

Would posting pics of the items be like posting pics on here?

Does Ebay get a percentage of your profits? Does Paypal do the same?

Thanks for any answers....and any additional information I might need that I'm not thinking of!

It isn't too hard to get started. Shipping can be determined by using a scale and USPS online shipping calculator.
Posting pics is similar to posting pics here.
Both Ebay and Paypal take a percentage of your profits. Ebay also has listing fees.

It's not too hard, e-bay walks you through it. I'd start by selling just one thing and see how you like it before going whole-hog on it.

Personally, I haven't had much luck with it, but then I don't have a lot of things other people seem to want to buy! If you truely have a lot of stuff, then it might be easier to have a yard sale in the spring, and maybe sell just a few things over the winter on e-bay to help clear some shelf space in the meanwhile. But that's just my opinon, I could be wrong!
