If you make a reservation for next year and then decide to put your timeshare up for sale, what happens to the reservation? Can you keep it and still use it if you sell your share?
All existing reservations are canceled upon a sale. You'll either have to give up the reservation or as the pp said, arrange to close after the reservation is used.

If you wanted to sell and have a normal 7 to 8 week closing then you would need to cancel the reservation.
If you wanted to keep the reservation then the closing date would be after your check out date. For example, at The Timeshare Store, Inc.® you might see listings that say "Can close 4/1/11" which indicates the seller has a pending reservation they want to keep.
