Seller just accepted my offer on SSR. Wondering if it will ROFR.

Sorry to hear Disney took it. We just found out today we passed, day 29 for us. We were $72 a point on a 200 point contract at SSR April UY with full 200 2013 points, full 200 2014 points and on and seller paying all closing costs and MF's. So its strange they took yours. There really is NO rhyme or reason as to what they take it seems.

Good luck this go round pixiedust:

Yes I made an offer on another similar contract but I offered to pay the MF for 2014 this time. Hopefully that helps. Waiting on seller to accept. Hopefully better luck this time! If I get ROFR'd again I am going to take it as a sign that it wasn't meant to be. Haha.

Dont give up, unless you need the contract ASAP. There will be one that hits. I waited 3 years between contracts before this hit for me.

I had a nightmare a few days ago that Disney took ours. We are in ROFR right now too.

Thanks for the support. Seller has accepted and it's off to ROFR again. I wish it didn't take so bloody long! Haha.

Good Luck. It does take forever! Waiting for my member # and was told it can take 3 weeks after closing!!! We've been at this since May 18! Resale takes patience but with what we save it's worth it I think!

Sorry for the bad news.

I just passed with a 90 pt Dec. UY @ SSR. I paid full MF and Closing. No '13 point avail.

Not sure if that info helps understand for your next one.

Good Luck

Why would that make a difference?

In my eyes it makes it look an even sweeter deal for buyer.

Getting a contract at a deeply discounted price to start ( vs direct ). And then on top of that not paying MF's for that year and making seller pay closing costs.

No one really knows what makes Disney take a resale but if many that are taken are loaded and or the seller is paying MF's and Closing costs then it makes it obvious about what kenspidy posted.

Why would that make a difference?
Because it's an effective $5-$12 per point discount. Disney evaluates each contract based on what they need and how cheap it is. The cheaper it is, the more likely they are to buy it. Or, if they need it, they'll buy it at just about any price.

Why would that make a difference?

Remember this is a business, everything has monetary value.

UY
Paid dues
Banked points
Current points
Borrowed points
Resort
Contract size

Disney plugs the info into the computer and it tells them buy or skip.

We received notice today that disney waived on their ROFR! Second time is the charm for us, I guess. Very excited!

Can someone tell me what stripped means? We are knew to the resale market. Thanks.

A contract where the owner has used the currant available and maybe the next years points has been stripped.

Opposite of a loaded contract.
