I really wanted dinner for the magical-ness of being in the castle in the evening. However, the only availability during our stay was one breakfast reservation. I went ahead and booked the 10am reservation temporarily. I don't really like to pay for big breakfasts, but at the time I just grabbed it because it was the only one available.

Fast forward to yesterday... I found an 8:15 dinner reservation, which is pretty late for our three kids, one of which is only 5 (I want her to be alert and awake for the experience!!), and a 3:50 dinner reservation, which, on the flip side, is pretty early. lol I know, i know. I'm picky. lol

So there's my 10am reservation time and the 3:50 and 8:15 dinner reservations are still available. There are also 2 options for lunch.

I'd like to know your opinion of breakfast vs. lunch vs. dinner at CRT. Why do you love one over the others? What should I do? Bite the bullet and take the late reservation? Go for an early dinner? Stick with breakfast? Wait it out and something will open up for a reasonable dinner hour?? (we are going in September)

Help!!

TIA!
Christy

Ok- opinions are going to vary based no personal preferences and varied experiences, but for what it's worth...here's mine.

We've done all 3 meals there...breakfast was the best, dinner was the worst and lunch was OK. The character interaction is about the same at all 3 meals, but the food was noticeably better at breakfast. We also liked that it took a lot less time to do breakfast at CRT...lunch and dinner (for whatever reason)... took much longer. Obviously, not everyone is going to have the dinner experience we had, but when we did dinner- the food was horrible, our server was rude, the a/c dripped on us all meal (nothing they could do), and the place was running behind and pretty chaotic. Lunch was good- nothing spectacular- but it was our first time eating in the castle ... so that alone made it feel magical.

Thanks for your response!!
When you say Dinner was horrible - what was wrong with the food? Was it prepared poorly or bad recipes? I don't like seafood, but I love steak. I don't want to spend 2 credits on a steak that is like shoe leather, though. lol Maybe breakfast is the way to go. Sorry you had the bad experience with the server and a/c. You expect more from Disney!

Anyone else want to weigh in on what they'd choose?
