Selfie Sticks at WDW

I have seen a growing number of selfie sticks in the parks lately. I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed.

Just to be clear, selfie sticks are still not permitted at Disney World. They’re annoying, and people will use them while on rides.

I haven’t seen any and thought they were still not allowed. I do occasionally see tripods but typically those ppl have media passes.

No media pass needed for tripods. They are allowed if they fold up and can fit in a backpack.

We saw many when we were there in May.
I was surprised. Didn't see anyone use them on a ride.

I have never seen a selfie stick in WDW. It's possible I'm just oblivious though.
