Selfie stick?

The last time we were at WDW, they didn't allow selfie sticks (strangely enough I saw people using flexible tripods as selfie sticks, which must have been allowed for some reason). Are selfie sticks still forbidden? I need to know what to pack. Thanks

The difference between the flexible tripod and the selfie stick is the selfie stick extends creating a safety hazard on rides and such. Yes they are still bannee
