cross-post from Home Interiors board, in case I don't get responses over there...

I have drapes with this same plaid on the wide picture window in my living room. I am considering buying the same plaid in tiers for two adjoining rooms that have open views to the living room.

There is one window in the kitchen and two windows in the "family room". I'm wondering if putting the same fabric on all of these windows would be overkill. I can get a great deal on the tiers right now, but it won't be so great if I've overdone the look.

Since you asked, I think it would be overkill. I would choose a solid color to complement the plaid. I really think this plaid on all those windows would be a bit much.

Yes, I think it would be overkill. Why not try and pull either the brick red color or the sage green color out of the plaid and do solid curtains on the windows in the adjoining room. Or perhaps a white or off white with the briock or green as a trim.

Take a look at Country Curtains...they have a lot of things with this color scheme.

Thanks everyone for your input. I guess I knew all along it would be too much of a good thing, but needed affirmation.
