segway tour at EPCOT- anyone care to report more?

Anybody here doing the Segway tour on July 1? It would be kind of fun to know somebody on the tour.

^ Not sure yet. We'll be out there from the 20th - 25th, and I think we're going HHN on the 21st, so which means we'll probably do Segway the 20th or the 22nd.

Unless it's booked then we might try for when we're out in November for our wedding anniversary!

I think I am going to surprise my Husband with this! He seemed really interested when he saw the news article about them. So, here I go for September...

we did it just last week!! it is awesome. the first hour is spent learning riding, etc. then everyone follows the leader to world showcase. there is more follow the leader type riding and then you are set free in a restricted area of world showcase, maybe about 30 minutes. then more riding through the countries. it is really a very very neat experience. there are 2 CMs w/you on the outside, but 3 helping w/the learning portion. then back to future world and the end of the tour. folks will stop and watch you. we enjoyed it so much we are booking again for d ecember! be sure to mention if you have an AP, a dvc member or paying w/a disney visa; you will get a discount! enjoy!

My DS18 is doing the Segway on July 7th, too! His name is Chad (Wick on the Dis), and I'll make sure he wishes you a happy birthday!!

DS12, my mom (who's celebrating her 60th), and I will be doing Epcot EE that morning, while Chad does the Segway. I'd love to say hello to you when we meet up with him at 11 am at WS!

It looks like alot of the riders will be dismember. How many spot on this tour are the others filling. We have 2 me and my DH but he does know yet shhh...it's a secret. I booked it when i found out they were offering it. The CM told me i was the first person she'd booked for that tour and wanted to know where i'd gotten the info. as they had just started bookings for this tour. So lets take a count.

mhelsley- Melissa... OK, you are two, Pat and DH are two more and DW and I make it SIX! I think we only need two more for Magical Gatherings... is that right? C'mon gang, need two more...

Maybe I'll look for some lime green tape to put on our helmets like a racing stripe! Or maybe we can all wear lime green leather biker jackets!

I'll mention again, that I was really surprised my DW enjoyed it as much as she did. She is ready to do it again on the 18th! Me too! See ya there!

Just did this tour 2 days ago (May 22). My wife booked us on it for my birthday. Gotta say - the highlight of our trip! The 3 coolest things about it:
1. The way people stop and stare as you zip by. As another poster said, you feel like YOU are an attraction!
2. Being in WS before anyone else. Epcot's our favorite park anyway, so feeling like we were the only ones in WS was really neat.
3. The segways are a LOT of fun to ride!

I'd definitely recommend it!
