segway tour at EPCOT- anyone care to report more?

Yesterday when I called to book DH Nate, CM said that though she couldn't tell me how many spots were available, she tried for a party of four and it wouldn't take them....that tells me 3 spots or less yesterday and we took one of them, so HURRY and BOOK IT for July 7th!

DH is so excited! I amNOT GOOD at hanging on to surprises and HAD to tell him yesterday. He will jump on this thread later today to introduce himself!

Have fun...I am JEALOUS (but hey, I get to do the Perfectly Princess Tea Party with DD! He doesn't, so nanny nanny boo boo!)

Grandma, DS12 and me will be doing Epcot EE on the 7th, while you ride around on the Segways! We'll be waiting by World Showcase to see you when the tour is over!

Just back from WDW and we did the tour on the 25th, my birthday! It was such a blast! I will definetly sign up for it again the next time we go. It was wonderful to see Epcot in full bloom for Flower & Garden. The Segways were easy to get the hang of, and my DH kept saying for the rest of the trip "Gee I wish we had one!" Very cool!

I have a few more questions for those of you that have already done the segway thingy.

What time did you finish up in the morning?
AND
Where would you suggest catching up with family members at the end of the tour?
Did you eat after the tour?

As many of you know I am sending DH on this as a surprise and am wondering if he would enjoy a nice sit-down lunch directly afterwards, you know to kind of catch his breath from the excitment of it and so that he could tell me all about it while having an early lunch then spend the rest of the day in the park!!
You see I will be living vicariously through him on this day, as I will be taking care of Kis #2,3 &4 while he enjoys the experience.

OR would a better plan be to keep going and "do" the park right after the segway and then take an afternoon break later. Maybe a late lunch or early dinner.

I don't know.... decisions, decisions!!!!

I think we walked out of the building about 11:15. Our tour was running a little behind schedule that day. You could meet just outside the Innovations exit, where you can see the Land Pavilion. That might be a good choice for lunch as well, especially if DH is starving.

I always like the food court there, never know what I'll feel like eating until I actually get there.

Yeh, I'll bet he has a lot to say...

We got back at exactly 11:00, and were out of the building by 11:05. The land would be a good place to meet, or at the fountain in Innoventions Plaza.

what time do you have to be there in the morning?
we're signed up for it already and of course she told me everything at the time, but it was so long ago i can't recall...

do you have to be there before epcot opens? or only when epcot opens?....

I think it is at 8 but am not totally sure. I would call the disney tour # (407) wdw-tour to double check.

I do know though that you need to bring with you:
Driver's or other form of ID
your park ticket for the day
Your AP, if you are an annual passholder (this is to get the 15% discount) other discounts are relavent here as well, DVC etc.
I have also read that it is fine to bring your camera and that the CM don't mind taking pictures for you!

Boy, I wish I was coming too! Have a great time!

Don't forget to call and check on that time!

i just found my notes...
it says to be at epcot guest relations at 8:45....
doesn't epcot open at 8?
i'm trying to figure out if i can pick up some fastpasses for TT before we begin the tour....

Yeh, be at the Guest Relations, next to Spaceship Earth (inside the park) at 8:45. The park usually opens at 9:00, so look for the turnstile where they are taking early entries for the Princess Breakfast and Segway tour.

We came into World Showcase the back way from BCV's. We just told them what we were doing and they let us go through. They did have a list for breakfast guests.

I would guess the fast pass machines at TT aren't working at 8:45, or even 9:00.
