Just seemed a bit odd. Especially when at wdw Darth Vader took over for santa.

So instead of Santa at the end of the MK Christmas Parade it was Darth ???

My family will be there on the 28th and I think they would love to see Darth in Santa's sleigh ...

Yes in fact not sure if it was shot as part of the "parade" or a set piece. Remember the "parade" they do for today is not a real parade but a show shot over a few days and edited together.

there are 2 parks and just one Santa.
So there is always one park on the broadcast without him.
Sometimes it is Santa Goofy, a couple years a go it was Nick Cannon.
Just all depends on the theme of the year and which park get the Santa reviel that year.

Santa is in the MK Christmas Parade through December 31st this year. Celebrate a Dream Come True has its encore/finale performances January 1st - 4th.

Actually I rather enjoyed it. It was fun seeing the Darth Vadar and the Stormtroopers. Then again I love Star Wars.
