This is probably a long shot but..

Is there someone here who can connect me to an HR -whether for The Walt Disney Company in Florida or California, or Marvel in NYC?

I am a graphic designer and i currently live in NYC (i am also taking my masters) and i have had this huge dream to be part of Disney. Everyday, for the last 4 years, i've check the Disney Career sites and apply to anything Graphic Design related opening i see, but i'm just not getting any luck. Nothing goes passed "In Progress".

Maybe networking with someone is the best way to get - maybe it isn't just "what you know" but "who you know" now a days.. i don't know. But i want to try anything i can think of to be given the chance to be happy. Is there someone here who is connected to Disney or Marvel (since i am from NYC) that can refer me or connect me to someone so that i can have a chance at getting an internship?

Networking is all about how you can best market yourself. If you want it, work for it.

I'm sure you checked this already but ESPN in CT is offering multiple positions in A/V, I have several friends who have worked there over the years. It may not be the Disney you're thinking of, but it's a door.

My friend tried to do the same thing. It's been a few years, but she said that what she hadn't realized was that the internships at Disney were for people who had previously did the CP. she was apparently told that she'd have a better chance of getting fed into the pool of applicants if she returned as CM for second year. She didn't want to do that.

(Whether that's true or not, I don't know. Friend frequently embroiders or misremembers)

I'd say having seen a lot of acquaintances try to start out in that field, I'd cast your net far and wide and take whatever opportunities come your way. Build your skills and portfolio as much as possible and just keep at it. A small start up might be a better opportunity for you than Disney, and temp work might turn into something more permanent.

Ok, can you connect me where i can pass my resume?

I know about networking, and that is what i am trying to do. I have not attended a CP and i can't find anything on the site to apply for one.
