If you have been/will be perusing the boards much recently, you'll see posts from me that echo this: we are WDW vets who are making our first trip to DL this July. Yay! And sorry/thank you in advance for all the help you'll be offering me as I get acquainted with DL! Anyway, we need transportation from VGC to LAX at the end of our trip. (We've already done the price & route comparisons, and LAX makes the most sense for us.) We'll be on a 10:10 PM (red eye) flight out of LAX on July 22 (a Friday night). I'll be traveling by myself with a 10-year-old back to the airport (the other adult is staying for a conference in Anaheim that starts the next day), so I'm looking for straightforward, affordable but safe and reliable options.

After reviewing this thread, http://www.disboards.com/threads/qu...from-lax-to-disneyland.3476835/#post-55042657, I think our options at this point include:

* a taxi/Uber (not my first choice)
* Disneyland Express (It sounds like the last pick-up is at 6 PM; that would leave a LOT of time at the airport, which is not my preference. I think I understand it to be $30 one-way, but I'm confused about whether or not it has multiple stops.)
* Karmel Shuttle
* Lansky's

Can those of with more experience weigh in with your recommendations on which option makes the most sense?

Thank you!

The Disneyland Resort Express (DLRE) has multiple stops, depending on where you pick it up. If you are staying at Disneyland Hotel, then you will get on your bus at the hotel, and that will be your bus to the airport (they will tell you which is SNA and which is LAX). If you are staying somewhere else, then you will experience multiple pick-ups, culminating in the "bus dance" at Disneyland Hotel, where you may (or may not) have to get off the bus you were on to get onto the LAX bus. It's a pain, in my opinion, but it's a good price, and so people put up with it. Like you said, the last pick-up is going to leave you with a lot of time at the airport. Personally, I'm never comfortable taking the last bus, either, because what if something happens? What if I missed it by 2 minutes for some reason? What if it broke down and couldn't do the final run? Of course, these things can happen no matter the company/bus, but I've been left waiting 2 hours for a pick-up, and didn't meet great customer service, so... I avoid them when I can.

A taxi is going to cost about $110 with tip, which seems pretty bad.

I believe you can get a $20 or $30 off your first Uber ride, which could make that pretty reasonable!

Can't help with other shuttles or Lansky's, as we used the DLRE when we were flying into/out of LAX. Now, we never find a need to deal with LAX, as LGB is always cheaper airfare for us!
