Seeking MNSSHP Costume Help/Advice

Greetings from the least creative person on earth! DS11, DS13 and I will be heading to Disney in October (poor DH will be stuck at work) and are planning to go to MNSSHP while we are there. We've been before, but have never dressed up, and I thought it might be fun to dress up this year. We arrive in Orlando right before the party, plus I know my boys won't tolerate much in the way of a costume, so I tried to come up with a simple not-super-costumey idea. I thought we could go as the "Mountains" - Splash, Space and Thunder. I was thinking Space Mountain could wear all gray (the "mountain" part) and a shirt with stars on it, Splash the same but with water splashing, and Thunder with a big thunder cloud going "BOOM!". This seemed like such a simple idea, until I started looking for the shirts for each costume. I have had no luck so far. Any ideas on where I could get/order something like this?

My wife and I dressed up as characters from Inside Out. We really liked it as the costumes were really practical to wear around, and not insanely difficult to make.

As for the tshirts, have you considered doing a custom shirt from customink or something like that?

For the shirts, if you can find a picture you like online (or are proficient enough in some basic graphic design to make one), most craft stores and places that sell printer paper sell iron on transfer printer paper, so you could print things out and iron them on plain shirts. Craft/fabric stores like Michael's or JoAnn Fabrics may also have some pre-made iron on transfers, patches, or stencils & fabric paint that would work. Since MNSSHP is at night, for space mountain it would be really cool to get a star shaped stencil and use glow in the dark fabric paint.

If looking for different ideas, I would google disney bounding. There will be some great ideas there that won't feel too much like a costume.

Check out Etsy. There's all kinds of stuff on there. And some people will even make you a custom design if you tell them what you're looking for. I'm going to my first MNSSHP in September and decided that while I don't want to wear a costume, I wanted to have some kind of theme for the party. I found a shirt on Etsy with the design from the Haunted Mansion wallpaper (the face with the eyes) that says Foolish Mortal and then I found some custom Haunted Mansion Minnie ears using fabric in the design of the HM wallpaper. So, I'll be going as a "foolish mortal".
