Seeing lots of green Mickey ears at the Fort!

We are back home too. I wish we could have stayed longer - maybe next time. So sorry I missed you Holly! I had very limited internet access and did not know where everyone was at. We were in 1640. I did get to meet M&M, the Millers and AuburnJen though who were close by in 1600-1900 loops. I hope everyone has a fabulous time!!!

I hope everyone is having/had a great time!!!!
I can't wait to see some reports!!!

Checked in Friday morning. That grueling 15 minute ride to the Fort wore me out. Met up with Mk199 right after I setup the Buddymobile. He was very gracious and gave me a full rundown on his very unique rig. He even let me look inside. Can't help but love it.

Today, Sat., I met Lornaduck, I think she's trouble, Auburnjen, Stacktester, the famous Donnie, & DisCampers. I've seen other green ears, but no one at the sites. I hear TCD is around too.

I'm in the 900 loop. No Fiends in that loop but a fellow WDW transportation CM is right next to me.

This is my first fourth at the Fort so it's all pretty interesting. Watched the parade and had breakfast right afterwards. Boy that 40% CM discount comes in handy. I'm actually at home right now to watch the Nascar race because they have the worst channel selection on Disney cable. Depending on what time it gets over will determine if I return to the Fort tonite or tomorrow morning.

We looped through yesterday and it does feel like a DIS convention is in town. It is very cool to be here with so many of you here!

Lorna is trouble. I taught her almost everything I know.

We just got home. Cut our stay by a day. Got tired of the rain and being damp all the time. We met Magicbus at the fireworks. Thank God it didn't rain during and held off until afterwards. We got in late on Wednesday and it rained all the way from Clearwater. I will say we had a great site with 526. One of the nicest ones we've had. If the weather had been better we would have enjoyed it more. We got to eat 1 dinner outside on Friday, our only day without rain. It was a repeat of May '09 trip when it rained for 8 of our 9 days. DH is not a happy camper because that's 2 washed out Fort vacations. Oh, well. We may come back in August - depends on finances and the weather and then we are there for Thanksgiving this year. Hopefully it will dry out by then. To everyone still there dryer times are coming.

We just got home.

Barb, I was just looking at the picture of your two dogs, and I think my DH and I met you at the dog park. Was your big black dog limping while you were down there. My husband and I took our dog, Jazz (a little black Peek-a-Pom) to the park one day and met a couple with a yellow lab mix and a big black dog. Was that you?

That was us....Hello, again. You're little guy was sure cute. Cheyenne is still limping, but goes in tomorrow for acupuncture and that should help. Actually, by today she was coming up the steps to the RV better than the past 5 days we were there. We meet so many great people there and never know that sometimes we "talk" via the boards. I'll keep an eye out for posts from you and then I can put faces to the names. Enjoy the rest of your stay and have safe travels.

Hope everything goes well with Cheyenne's acupuncture. We're home now, but I am already thinking about our next trip to the Fort in October. We'll be bringing our new grandson with us for his first trip to WDW. He'll be turning 5 months old while we are there! I can't wait!

October is a great time at the fort. We were there last year the week before Halloween. There will be lots of decorations to see. Hopefully it will be a little drier also.:rotfl2: We may try to get back for a few days in August, depending on the weather, but our next big trip is for Thanksgiving this year. It will be the first time we are not hosting Thanksgiving for family. We've never gone anyplace over the holidays and I'm looking forward to having someone else do the cooking. We already have reservations at Liberty Tree at MK. Christmas decorations will be going up and we love seeing the Osborne lights and all the resorts decorated. Maybe we will run into each other again.
