Well looks like I won't be going to Disney for a little bit, at least until he/she can go on some rides with me

This is our twelve week ultrasound picture of our first child Due date is the end of Feb, 2008. Seems like a long time away, but I am sure it will be here before we know it. My wife and I are soooo excited about it, and I really can't wait to be a dad.

Thanks everyone, we are so excited about it. A year ago I had no desire to be a dad anytime soon,I did not think I was mature enough to be one, even though I just turned 30, but now....well words can't describe how I feel. I know my world is going to change, and I can't wait.

EXCELLENT!! Congradulations. This will be your new favorite photography subject. I figure somewhere between 60 & 70 percent of my pictures have at least 1 of my 3 kids.

hmmmm,,, lenses. Fast primes. I love taking pics of the kids with either my 50 f/1.8 or 90 f/2.8.

Is that a digital file of the ultrasound picture or a scan? My youngest is 4.5yo, and we always got those crummy little prints that come out of the ultrasound machine (but I had complicated pregnancies, so I at least I have lots of them).

I scanned it. The original is crazy clear though. I can't wait for 26 weeks, 3D ultrasound, with digital files

Don't worry about postponing Disney trips too much, we've taken my son to WDW twice already, at nine months and at 21 months, and he's going to have his first Disneyland trip in a few weeks, and he'll be two years and five months old. What a spoiled kid. He's had a great time and been fun - the other advantage is that it basically costs nothing to bring him along. Free airfare (if he sits on your lap), generally free food (if he'll eat off your plate), free admission to the parks, etc.

I can also say that being a parent really changes your life. Especially mine - I was a real "baby hater" before mine came along - it turns out that the old saying it true, it really is different when it's your own.

The 3D ultrasounds are wild. Some people get freaked out by them. It really shows how tightly cramed the little one is in there. I thought it was awesome. We had a few done with our DD. Turns out the first one we had done in Boston came out the best. The tech did a good job, but then the doctor came in and she got an unbelievable shot. They didn't have any digital files though. That is great they can do that now. Wish we had that option.
