Security with a ECV/Scooter

My mom will be using a rented scooter/ECV this trip. How does that work with security? I've never paid attention to if there are dedicated lines or if you just go through any line. I assume she will need to be wanded since she can't go through the metal detector on the scooter.

You will go through any line and then they will ask you to park it next to the metal detector. They will ask if you can walk and if so you get off and walk through the detector. If you can't then they will wand you.
