I wish I could say this was a child's request. I will just say...lonnnggg story. Anyway will an adult dressed in Potter gear have any problem getting into the park?

As long as the person's face isn't covered, you should be OK. Normally Universal doesn't allow costumes but with the popularity of HP, they have made some consessions. ;)

You can wear a robe. They sell them at the park.

We saw lots of adults in costumes last summer, including quite a few wearing graduation robes as wizard robes. lol

HP Cosplay is the EASIEST kind. And yes, it's rather permissible.

Just don't try anything like you'd see at Megacon/Dragon Con/Comic Con, etc. That would not fly...

They would lose an huge part of their HP income if they didn't allow costumes. They sell pretty much everything you need to dress up as a student at hogwarts and charge a pretty penny for it.

And yes, I, an adult, ran around the park in my wizarding robes and wand just like I was a little kid.

I doubt anyone is going to even look twice at you, let alone the security personel; although some people did think I was an employee and would stop me to ask questions. It's a good thing I did my research before going so I could actually answer their questions most of the time :rotfl:

ok..sounds good, but can a person be admitted to the park in their own robe or must they purchase it there?

thank you for all the responses:)
