Securing your Resort Cards

I have just found out that you may punch a hole on your hotel room key card.(avoid the magnetic-strip) from one of the resorts' CM. Since most of us have the all inclusive card(parks tickets and dining options), the ability to secure the card around your neck or clip onto something sounds great. If you have older kids make them put it onto their cell phone [If They Have One] The constant thought of your kids losing their belongings should diminished a little bit :teeth:

I thought that you needed to keep the cards away from cell phones to protect the data.

:rolleyes1 BTDT! Yes, you shouldn't put your KTTW in the same pocket as your cell phone or car keys. Or else you will end up at the front desk getting it fixed

Also, the card has to go through the ticket machine at the parks, right? It goes in one side and gets spit out on the other, so it couldn't have anything attached to it at that point.

They also sell laynards with plastic pouches to put your resort id in... they are $3.00 and go around your neck...ou can get them at walmart or at resort gift shops (got mine at beach club last trip) :cool1:

What was I thinking of??!!! I have totally forgotten that electronic devices + mag-strip = BIG NO NO..... :p What a good idea it is. I think those lanyards w/plastic pouch are perfect.
Thank you everyone. :wave2: :wave2:

You can get a lanyard w/ a plastic pouch at Target or WalMart for less than $1. We got dryboxes on our cruise and they work great for holding KTTW cards and a little bit of cash...not to mention keeping it dry.

If you get the lanyards at WDW...are they disney themed? For $3, that's a great deal. Think I'll just wait till we get there and have a nice souvenir as well.

BTW...Kat3668 - Your kitties are sooo cute! Great pics!

Hey......that's a great idea :) !!!! Thanks for sharing this :thumbsup2

They have these TL & BB as well and they do work great.
I have a clear one and it's nice for the fastpasses as well.

I think they also help insulate from the cells and keep your card from bending and losing it's mag strip.
