Secuirty Lines - tips for not getting in the 'slow' ones?

Sometimes they explore everything, sometimes they wave you through so fast it's sad what I have gotten through. Not that I carry a gun or anythign but if I had WANTED to, I could have. What exactly are they looking for anyway?

Well, one guy asked me if I had any mace in my tiny little purse.

Oh yeah, there IS a big difference! I think the women security personnel are worse than the men. I had one ask me to open up my wallet in my already opened and unzippered fanny pack so she could see what was inside....ummm...that would be money and ID...Needless to say, I try to look for the men security lines as they just take a fast gander and tell you thank you.

Seriously, that is way too much. Unfortunately I think it is going to only get worse as we get closer to 9/11 especially with it being the 10th anniversary.

I had a lady that made me lift my shirt up a little so she could see that it was my cell phone in my pocket. That one surprised me. I really don't mind them doing their job, but a lot of them don't. So what's the point? Most of the time in June the people we had just glanced. Didn't look in a lot of the unzipped areas, that we had taken the time to unzip. Seems like a waste of time if they all aren't going to be thorough.

It's only security theatre. They are only there to give the appearance that there are security measures in place.
