ok so i have heard a couple different things on DIS about hidden mickey's, and the rock on indiana. i would like an update on anything like this. do these still work/ any other secrets u know to look for?

On pirates, after the second drop you go around two turns. Before you go into the area with the pirate ship stranded in a storm, turn around and to your left there is a large rock formation in the shape of goofy :)

On Winnie the Pooh, you can see the Moose, Deer and Bison from the previous attraction, Country Bear Jamboree. It's right after the Hefallumps & Woozles room.

OK, I'm always looking back for that and cannot seem to find it. :headache:

That one I've found and we even have a picture of it. :thumbsup2

It was pointed out to us on our last trip, and I thought it looked nothing like Goofy. :confused3

I just thought of a couple more:

On Peter Pan, look for the hidden mickey in a window on the clock tower flying over London.

While in Fantasyland, look for the Evil Queen to peer out of her window above the Snow White ride.

Look for the Eeyore Parking lot sign in the Indy Que which is located in the ceiling toward the back of the movie room (near the projector). You'll need a flashlight to see it (a CM can show you).

In the Haunted Mansion, there is a bullet hole in the last section of glass in the birthday party room. A spider has been placed on the glass to cover the hole. There is also a hidden mickey in this room on the dining room table.

Look for the hidden mickey on the golf ball hit by Eisner on Soarin.

Ok, that's all I can think of for now.

Not sure this was caused by a bullet (I had heard it was from an air-powered bee bee gun) but apparently to replace the glass it would require the imagineers removing the roof of the showroom, which would be costly and would take the ride out of commission for extended time so they went with the easy fix, the spider.

I can't beleive somebody went to disneyland with a shooting device and shot at the glass on the Haunted Mansion. I want to ***** slap that person repeatedly.

It took me a couple of time to look at the rock formation just right to notice it. It's basically a big goofy head. I don't know if that is intentional or not, but after someone told me, I had to ride the ride about 4 times to notice.

Our VIP tour guide suggested the "bullet hole" may have been from when they still sold sling shots in Frontierland and perhaps it really wasn't a bullet. I do wonder what the true story is behind that hole, as well as the one in the Grand Canyon/Primevil World diorama on the DLRR.

Why would people be that disrespectful?

I mean even if you're not a disney 'geek'..that doesn't make sense :(

How long has it been there? Anyone know?

I pulled this info from a HM fan site:

This was confirmed by Mark Keiser (Retlaw 72-76 Security 77-81) Summer
1974 "The guy that shot there presumably also shot the hole in the last
or second to last window of the Primeval World diorama. Later
investigation determined the hole to be .22 caliber (in both places), and
bullet fragments matched (courtesy of Anaheim PD) the holes in Adventures
in Inner Space (he shot up the snow flakes)."

There is another bullet sized hole beneath the duelist on the right, so
perhaps a deranged guest was shooting at "the man with the gun".

They knew that to replace the glass they'd have to take the roof off the
building first, so they decided to simply disguise it as a spider web.
BTW, there is a spare pane in the back lot.

A bit of trivia: the organ being played by the mad organist in the
ballroom is the actual movie prop organ from 20000 Leagues Under the Sea.

In the Matterhorn look for climbing equipment stacked in the snow in one of the caverns. One of the boxes is labled "Wells Expedition." This is a tribute to Frank Wells, former President of the Walt Disney Company who was an accomplished mountaineer. Mr. Wells died in a helicopter crash.

In Star Tours just before your speeder leaves the docking bay for space you can see the mighty microscope from Adventures Through Inner Space. At the end of Star Tours the Speeder comes to a sudden stop, the man in the office you almost hit is George Lucas.

Sometimes the plates on the table in the dinning room in the Haunted Mansion are arranged in the shape of a Mickey.

One of the horses on the Carosel is dedicated to Julie Andrews.

At the end of Finding Nemo you can still see in the rocks the shape of the Sea Seperent from the original submarine attraction.

The small building at the entrance to the Matterhorn is one of the last remaing original ticket booths from the days when you had to buy tickets for the rides.

You cannot see it but there is a basketball court in the Matterhorn.

Be sure to check the windows on Main Street. The names are generally important folks in Disney History.

At the the end, when the fireworks go off during Soarin' Over California, look for the fireworks in the form of a Mickey head. :earsboy:

Surely some of you remember the snoring bear as you went into Bear Country (I used to think it was real as a kid and wondered why his was always hibernating, no matter what time of year we visited)! There is a tribute to him on Splash Mtn, as you pass Brer Bear's house, you can hear him snoring away!:yay:

Oh yeah.... another thing.... At the railroad station in NOS, the morse code that you hear tapping is playing Walt's opening day speech.

I can't for the life of me remember right now, but I would swear that the alphabet blocks in the Darling's bedroom in Peter Pan spell out something.

Does anyone else know what I'm talking about?

In pirates one of the final scenes of the ride where the pirates are on the cannons shooting over head... to the left there are 2 coats of armor hanging on the wall and the one on the left has a little golden mickey painted in the middle.
