Secret Spot

Your Secret Spot in each park, where you go to just sit(maybe people watch). No rides, no restaurant, just the one spot you go to to take a breath.
Epcot has agreat secret spot where the restrooms are almost always empty. The air conditioning is great. There are tables and chairs and couches and hardly ever busy. It is the side of the Innovations building that has the Epcot Character spot. The easiest way to find it is to exit Club Cool and go to the right, into the building. There is also an entrance between Club Cool and the Starbucks. It is especially nice in this hot weather.

Our favorite place in MK is that little alcove on your left as you are heading out. Down at the end there are a couple of café tables and benches. We always end our MK night with ice cream from the Plaza and we just sit down there until just about everyone is gone. It is so quiet and its funny when people come down thinking there is something going on because we are there, then they just leave. Once everyone is gone we usually take some pictures on an empty main street.

Great memory, two trips ago my then 7 yr old and I were drinking root beer floats in this spot, it was about 1am. She looked at me and said "mom, I am going to remember this moment for the rest of my life". THIS is why we do Disney

This is why my DD (now almost 17) continue to visit DL or WDW at least once a year - moments like this have occurred regularly since we started going when she was 2 1/2. (We also travel other places, including 17 other countries, but the Disney trips are the ones where she is most likely to say something like that which is why I've been a DVC member for about a decade.)

Epcot-The benches or chairs in front of Rose and Crown in the morning before WS opens.
AK-the covered area across from Flights of Wonder. I THINK it used to be an entrance to the Discovery River Boats.
MK-the rocking chairs on the porch in Frontierland, right next to the pass-thru to Adventureland.

At the back of Storybook circus is a covered area full of eclectic couches and chairs with phone charging stations. There is hardly ever anyone there. My teenage daughter actually took a nap on one of the couches there last December.

My spot in Epcot is Canada Pavilion in front of the little cottage or in the back by the waterfall. In MK its a ride: Liberty boat. And in AK it's sometimes busy but I like the waterfall by Rainforest Cafe, lots of little geckos to watch.

I'll have to remember this spot. Thanks for sharing!

As I think really hard about where I relax...it's at a resort. Even if it's not mine. I just need to cut out the crowd at some point. From AK, I head to Animal Kingdom Lodge's savannah overlooks, from Epcot, it's the Beach club solarium, from MK I get on a boat to fort wilderness for the rocking chairs near trails end, and HS has become a half day park for me, so I don't have one there...I would probably take a boat to the boardwalk and get some Ample Hills.
