We will be staying in this cabin on our May 4th Magic cruise. Can anyone tell me about the beds. Does this cabin have a drop down bunk from the ceiling? My daughter would love it! Let me know if anyone has staying in this cabin. Thanks. Janine

It has the sofa near the secret porthole -- sofa will open to a bed. It also has the bed that drops from the ceiling over the sofa. The bed is in the center area of the room.

Look at pictures of the secret porthole at Barb and Tony's site:

My DD9 and I were just in this room on the 1-19-02 cruise. She wanted to sleep in the "bunk" (drop-down) bed, so I asked the room steward if he would make that bed up for her each night rather than the sofa bed. He did and she thought it was a great treat.

The obstructed view was fairly good, but got better as the week progressed. The barrels outside the window were gradually moved toward midship and by week's end, there were no more barrels blocking the view from the window. But, you do have to pay attention to what you are wearing around the room if the curtains are open - there were a few times a maintenance worker was outside the window.

We loved the location on Deck 5 - close to the restaurant and theatre when most traffic is moving around the ship.

I'll be happy to answer any other questions you might have re: 5020. Just let me know.
