Second Star to the Right.. And Straight On Till Morning A Sept 2013 PTR

:cool1: for POR!! Perfect choice, for sure!!! And you're totally right about the perks...boat to DTD (our kids loved it-and us, too:thumbsup2) And you can take a quick stroll over to POFQ. Of course your kids might not think that's exciting  ...more for mom and dad;) Pictures don't do POR justice. Know what you mean about the values...they can get a bit hectic at times. I will tell ya this, though - I've never stayed at POP, but we have some close friends that absolutely LOVE it....it's the only value they will do. October is a great month to visit, also...not too hot, not too cold.

Happy Planning!!!
Heather

Thanks guys!! I am so excited.. Just patiently waiting on August 1st! Landen is at a perfect age! He loves some Mickey Mouse and he can say Donald now too. I got the boys some crocs this weekend and I put a Mickey "jibbett" in his and he just loves it! Also got a super cute Minnie shirt for me from JC Penney for the trip!

I need to make some notes here soon. I saw on easywdw.com- characters spots, times and what not, need to jot down some notes so we aren't wasting any time. Time wasting at Disney? Nobody got time for that! :)

AHHHHH- I can't wait!! How are all my Dis Friends today?

A great spot to meet Mickey is right by Tony's Town Square. We've seen Minnie there, too, but last time it was only him. We've never had to wait but a few minutes either. I think because it's kind of tucked away in the corner, lots of people miss it. I think it's called Town Theater - use to be Town Square Exposition Hall. Princesses are there, also :thumbsup2

Oh, thank you for letting me know that... I think even my boys, being as young as they are , would love to meet the princesses. I will jot that down! Our first MK day, we are planning on staying at least 3-4 hours, we should be able to get a lot done in that time.. or so I am hoping :) I just want to be at DHS that afternoon by 5- in order to do a few things and see Fantasmic by 8!

I think even my boys, being as young as they are, would love to meet the princesses.
So cute - can't wait to see your photos of that. I am so looking forward to the baby getting his first lipstick kisses with the princesses too! :lovestruc

I know! They are both huge flirts so I can only imagine...

You are going to have so much fun with your baby in October too!

After my super busy morning... Look what was left in the boys' carseats this morning.....

I swear my husband was made just for me!! :) He wrote in my card a super sweet little note.

Anyways- Back to planning this vacay!! T-Minus 86 DAYS!!!

We are going Saturday-Wednesday but I am thinking we will drive halfway ( am hoping the whole way, depends on how tired DH is) the night before on Friday.. The plan is for me to get off no later than 2:00 p.m.- Pick the boys up, Go home and do last minute things... And hopefully pull out by 4:30- 5... Anyone have any recommendations on where to stop in FL ( Coming from SC) if we need to overnight?

I am seriously hoping we can make it all the way and stay somewhere cheap. It would give us, basically an extra day to explore but even if that doesn't happen, hopefully we will be pulling in POR by NOON!!!

Plans today just include exploring the resort, unpacking, ( boo), swimming and we have a 1900 Park Fair reservation at 5:00 PM.

Evening Plans: If we do get to snag Riverside with free dining, I would like to see Yee-Haw Bob and maybe do a little night-time swimming with the babies! :)))

Awww what a sweetheart your hubby is!!

Yay, it's getting close Marcie!

Funny, I actually love the unpacking... It's the re-packing I don't like so much.

I agree... Repacking is just too sad... :( 5 days at home goes by sooooo slow.. However, 5 days at Disney flies right on by.

Please all you people who love to wear Disney- at Disney.. Go to hottopic.com... I normally am not a fan of this store but they have all kinds of Disney shirts on sale!! I just got a Disney princess tee for $15.00 and a Peter Pan- beautiful tank for $16.00.... This same tank is on E-bay for $50.00!!! Who pays that much?? OMGGGGG.. I can't wait to wear it!!!!

What are you waiting for? GOOOO NOWWW..

(And there is a promo code- HTX571)

You're welcome!

Awww, how sweet of your husband!

Thanks for the link. I already have over 10 t-shirts though, so I need to refrain from buying more. Plus, I just found out a local store that sells not too expensive clothes carries some Disney t-shirts. And get this, when we went I managed no to buy a single t-shirt! :o

You're welcome! I don't have many and just wanted to buy a couple for the trip! They are outrageous in the park!

Well free dining was supposed to come out for visa holders today and my dad was going to let me use his card to pay deposit and get a head start... Well, no free dining was announced today.

Keep your fingers crossed that it is coming...

Either way, we will have a Plan B.... Maybe stay at AOA instead and just pay out of pocket for food and not do so many table services... Either way, I am excited!! :)))

STAY EXCITED!!!! No matter what happens, Disney will be there for you.

Though my fingers, toes, and eyes are crossed that Free Dining is coming. :goodvibes

Well free dining did come out but boy was it a mess! Website crashed, phone was busy allllll day... Finally talked with someone at 6 PM... Only MOD left was CBR... I had my lugged heart set on POR... :( she said to keep calling every day and it may become available.... Who knows? Maybe I'll love CBR....

There is a slight problem, however. My sad wanted to pay the deposit and put it on his Disney visa for an early Christmas present... K told him to log on and just do if on website...when I checked my email, he made a payment but somehow it went to Pop Century.... He said that's what showed on my reservations!!! Don't know how that happened but Disney is supposed to credit it to the CBR reservation... Daddy ended up paying $500.00 towards trip for our families' Christmas... I am so thankful!!

Hopefully they will credit it soon bc it's not showing up yet...

75 days to go!!

Still need a costume idea for DH!

I'm going to be Snow White, Lawson is going to be Jake off of Jake and the Neverland Pirates ( Dad bought costume off of Disney.com) and I do think I will still get the Mickey jon- jon off of Etsy.. That leaves DH! Help me with some ideas!!! I just don't want to anything expensive since he probably won't wear it again!

73 days to go!!

I have started making a list of must do's for our first park day.

October 20th We have a reservation at 9:15 at Ohana ( wish we could go early) and are hoping to make it into MK by 11 AM at the latest.

Peter Pan is my absolute fav but heard it will be down :(
Splash Mountain

All of this is possible to do by about 3:30 right? I was hoping to head on over to DHS since they close early at 7:30 that night. I have never seen Fantasmic so this would be a great chance to do so!!

I'm here, just don't know what to reply to your latest update. Been quite tired too, so I often read without replying.
