Second Star to the Right.. And Straight On Till Morning A Sept 2013 PTR

I don't think your crazy for changing your mind once again. And I absolutely don't think you're crazy for wanting to stay onsite, especially if the difference in price is minimal once you calculate everything. :goodvibes

Here I am :wave2: A bit late...but here ;) Now to go back and read from the beginning.

Yay! On Dis property again! I really doubt you will regret that decision! And dining and everything, woot! Will be nice to not have to worry about it when you get there! ;)

I know how you feel about staying offsite...even when the numbers work out in its favor. We were contemplating doing offsite for our March trip...but decided to do Fort Wilderness instead! :lmao:

Now that's waaaayyy different than a condo since we'll be tent camping, but both DH and I like camping and he's a huge Ft. Wilderness fan since that's where his family stayed on their trips when he was younger (where else could stay w/ 12 kids?? :scared1:)

A vacation is supposed to be a totally relaxed and immersive experience where you feel away from it all. If staying offsite would take some of that away and you won't be doing yourself a financial disservice by paying a bit extra, it my book it's worth it!

Yeah, I just started thinking.... Really when you think about how much food I would miss out on and with parking and to be honest, I knew I would miss some of the magic. Something about being on property once you go under the magnificent heavenly arch- you just forget about what is going on in reality. :)

Oh Marcie, there's absolutely nothing nuts about wanting to stay on site.

I'll say this;
After planning many, many trips I've come to realize something. Obviously you want to keep the overall price reasonable. We all have a limit as far as price goes. But, when it comes right down to it, spending a little bit more to allow what YOU want to do is the best approach in my book. When I look back on a trip, I honestly never think about how much I spent (within reason obviously). I just think about how great it was.
A few months later, I can't even remember what the trip cost. Of course I'm not talking about $10,000 vs $2,000 or something crazy. But a few hundred at the end of the day really doesn't matter ultimately.

So I guess what I'm saying is... Do what feels right for you and your family and what will ultimately give you the best experience. You'll never regret spending a little bit more for that at the end of the day, but you may regret not doing it. :goodvibes

You got it Rob. Now, I am trying to pick between Riverside or POP. POP obviously cheaper but I am kind of torn on the reviews... You like it a lot, don't you? I wish AOA was included in the free dining.

YES MEL!! Price is definitely minimal when you really think about it. Food and Parking will really add up after 4 days.

I know!! That is the great thing about free dining.. Your entire trip is paid for in advance and the only thing you have to deal with is souvenirs and gas to get there!

Hi, I followed you over from another post. I saw that you had lost your mum recently too. I just wanted to say how sorry I was for your loss. You have a beautiful family and I'm looking forward to reading along and finding out which resort you pick! We are going on a similar trip in October too with my sister and her family and my dad to remember my mum/best friend who passed away in June.
I'm worried about it being too heartbreaking without her there. Her last name was Lawson. Hope your cutie has a great birthday!

Notes as I was reading along:

I laughed out loud at your son's comment about not knowing who to marry!

Love the Ohana photo with your mum. :lovestruc

The Mickey costume is super cute!

I vote Riverside. It's lovely there.

Those thing 1 and and thing 2 shirts are adorable. I'd love to get some for my boys. Where did you find them?

Looking forward to hearing more! Have a great weekend!

Hi Marci!! Found you from my PTR thread :)!

First, off I am so very very sorry about your mom. We lost my husbands mom and my mom is still dealing with complications from that horrible C word. Great big hugs to you and your family.

I vote for POR, that way we could do a little Dis meet and have Logan meet your sweet boys!!! ;) Best of luck making a decision, it's always so hard!

Aww thank you for popping by.... Thank you- Life is so different without her. I love the pic at Ohana too- I have the most beautiful frame for it that reads "Live for the moments you can't put into words". :)
I am thinking about leaning towards Riverside. POP looks cute and all, I just know how chaotic the values can get. I got those shirts on Etsy.com- just do a search for Thing 1 and Thing 2 shirts.

Thank you!! :) OMG, that would be the best idea ever! What days are you going again?? If my DH sees your beautiful Logan, he will insist on if we have a girl, naming her Logan... HAHAHA... I love it on a girl.. The only quam I have is.. Lawson, Landen and Logan sounds like brothers... YAY or NAY? :)

I sent you a PM ;) Well, I clearly I really love Logan for a girl! Also we mostly call her Lo so I think that is more feminine too.

Okay, So now that you all think that I'm a crazy chick.... Free Dining has been rumored to come out for Oct-Dec on August 1st so that's when I will book :)

We are going to go FOR REAL THIS TIME, LOL,

October 19-23. ( Saturday-Wednesday)
Where: Port Orleans Riverside
We will most likely end up trying to drive halfway and break up the trip that Friday, on the 18th. Less time in the car =

Less stressed Mommy and Daddy!!

I wish we could stay at AOA again but they have excluded that for discounts.. I even considered POP but I don't know if I want to deal with the chaos there, as I have noticed in values, it can get chaotic and loud.

POR just looks so beautiful, peaceful & and has some perks. ( Boat to DTD, Carriage rides, Murphy Bed which Lawson will probably love)
Plus, We will be able to get the table service meals.

I hope that the free dining rumors are true and that you'll get to book at POR. While we didn't really care for the theme of French Quarter (too much like home), we did enjoy the boat ride to Downtown Disney

I hope so too... I really did want to stay at your fav- CBR- but after seeing lots of pics at POR & we enjoyed FQ- I think POR will be perfect for this trip!!

Ah- I am so excited and can't wait! 3 months from tomorrow!! :)))

Free dining is awesome! I really hope that you get it. I have heard many people that say it doesn't work with their dates, but it's great if it works with yours.

Fingers crossed for the free dining and hurrah on the POR, you will love it, it is so beautiful there! The frame sounds beautiful. :)
