Second Star to the Right.. And Straight On Till Morning A Sept 2013 PTR

I don't know what my problem is Jaisa.. LOL. I don't know if it has something to do with last year and I am thinking it may be bring up too many memories of my mom being with us.... ( same dates as last year) And another part is DH doesn't get any paid days off... ( STUPID) and I started thinking about trying to tie it in with a holiday.. One scenario is waiting until the Friday after Thanksgiving and staying until Tuesday. That would only be two days of him missing work and that would leave me having 11 days before I had to return to work... :rolleyes1

And we are wanting to do Halloween Party, I just feel like if we went in October it would just feel more like Halloween. I will make up my mind in the next month... I better or I will end up losing the $200.00 and that aint happening. LOL

Hopefully the free dining discount will come out in time for you to make the decision. I believe last year's fall free dining became available to the general public around July 12th, so that's only a few weeks away!

I've been in late October and will be going in early November this year and I have to say I love it that time of year! The weather is cooling a bit and it's just a fun time to be in the parks with everything that is going on.

We've also been during the first week of March for the past three years and also love that time too. The first week is before most spring breaks start and really before it starts to heat up too much again (but still warm enough to swim).

I think you can't go wrong no matter when you go! You'll know when it's right.

Hey girl, just now got the chance to come over and get caught up after arriving home from Disney. I'm suffering from a major case of post-Disney blues. I started the trip report in the hope that it would help but it's still there. Ugh!

So.....are you gonna put off the trip to a later date in the hope of getting a pin? In all of our trips to Disney, I've never been blessed with a pin from the Disney gods. Makes me sick to my stomach to read about everybody getting such good pin deals. Oh well, it is what it is. Disney knows that I'm coming back....discount or no discount. What can I say? We are suckers!

Hopefully it will... The weekend of October 19th and the weekend after Thanksgiving looks good... September was pretty hot last year and maybe it will be a little cooler....

You are right, it will be grand no matter when!

Ahhhhh... I have been there and totally understand!! :( The trip takes forever to get here and then boom, its gone.

No, I am not holding out for a pin. Just wondering about going in October or either November. We want to do the Halloween Party and I just don't think I will feel like its Halloween in September...Anywho, I still have a little bit of time to decide. I checked dining reservations this morning and put in the dates of October and the dates in November and I can get everything I have planned already for September. And yes, I don't understand why they give them out like they do. Must be nice. LOL. Total suckers, we are. You got that right.

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party

whenever we decide WHEN we are actually going, we are definitely doing the Halloween Party!

We need MNSSHP ideas.... I really want to be one of the princesses. I have found an Etsy shop that sells Princess inspired aprons and the good thing about this is... I can actually wear it again!!! When I am being domestic and all that stuff at home... :)

What do you think? Slap a red bow in my hair and call it a day?

I found this for my youngest, Landen. He is a pretty big fan of the mouse.

Isn't it so adorable??

Now I need ideas for DH and for my oldest... Every costume I come across- just costs too much!! I really wanted to do a theme for all of us but I don't have any good ideas.
Anyone want to weigh in?

I wish I could help you, but I'm always so clueless when it comes to Halloween costumes. The ones you've found are super cute though!

Oh Marcie I love, love that apron! I am going to give Etsy a search right now to see if I can find something as cute as what you found :) LOVE!!! You could do Snow White for you, prince for DH and make the boys dwarfs (even though the mickey romper is beyond adorable).

I love it too and I love how I can wear it again.. I won't just throw it in the closet and never get to wear it. :) I thought about DH being the Prince but Snow White's prince has some kind of cape or something and I don't think he will be down with that. lol. I love the mickey romper too! I might have Lawson just be either Woody or Buzz and DH wear a Grumpy shirt.. HAHA. JK. :)

I think I'm just going to stick with CBR... I priced it out and staying at POP would only save $150.00 after upgrading my free dining to include The table services. I have noticed that the values can be chaotic and loud, especially in food court compared to Mods- going for a more relaxed trip this time! However- I wish I could afford beach club! :( Maybe one day!

your reason for going to a moderate is the exact reason we don't do values any more, just the shear chaos

i have been lucky enough to stay at pop, all star sports, p.o.r twice, and saratoga springs in a villa, the values have the most theming, but it's just so loud

i can't wait to hit cbr on sept 20, it is our first time there, the kids don't know we are going, and both my wifes and my birthday fall during that time span

Oh yes, they are very chaotic! :( I never realized how bad until we stayed at POFQ and it was so calm.

Since you all know how indecisive I have been.... :confused3 We have decided that we are going to stay off-site.. I know, I know... I'm not overly thrilled about it either butttt....

We have to have this package paid off by August 7th and I haven't even paid half of it yet.. Something changed with my husband's job & he needs lots of work done to his vehicle.... This would save us lots of $ to do so.... I am trying to choose between two condos and I am going to call Buena Vista Suites on my lunch break. I saw online where they have a 4 night special with park hoppers.

Check out this Condo:

http://www.mickeyscondo.com/mickeyshideaway/

It is 2 minutes from Disney and you can still see fireworks!
Another idea is a friend of mine's dad works for a company that owns a condo that she just stayed in 2 weeks ago...
You will not believe that it is only cost us $35.00 a night, plus cleaning fee of $90.00.. I KNOW!! Flabbergasted?? The only downside is it's about 15 minutes away, and I would rather be closer but let's be real..... $35.00!! OMGGGG!!!! What would you do? Pay the extra and be 2 minutes away with a house complete with Disney décor or save $170.00 and be 15 minutes away? Please help me put this decision to rest.

I hate that I am giving up free dining but if we have a condo- we can eat there some to save some $- I just can't see spending an extra $500.00 just on a Disney package right now. :( I feel like I am cheating on the mouse but either way you look at it- At least we are going!

Hope I still have some readers and hope everyone has a magical day! ( I love saying that)

In addition, staying in a Condo- We would wayyyyy more room than a small hotel room... DH and I would have our own room which would mean that we could have some alone time too. :) And with the balcony- we could sit out there after the kids have went to bed- which will be nice too!

Someone mentioned today on here that there was going to be some sort of news at Noon today.. I called & nada.

That could save you a lot of money if you can prepare meals at the condo!! That's what we plan doing on our next family trip. It will feel like a little home away from home!! Sounds even more exciting now. What's 15 minutes compared to 2. Thats a ton of mula you can save. That's what I'd go for!:thumbsup2

I knoowwwwww....
But... it would be so nice to be right outside of the gates and still get to see the fireworks. And the condo that is more money is Disney themed buttt...
We would have an extra $172.00!! Ahhhh...
I called and cancelled the package at lunch. At least I have taken the first step. :joker:

I totally understand what you are saying. I really do. I just wanna hug you, like I have said before I am not a good decision maker either! If it were me I would go with the Mickey condo and be minutes away with fireworks. It looks really nice! You can eat breakfast in the condo make sure to pack all your snacks and plan for a dinner or two in the condo!
Just make sure you factor in your food costs and parking to make sure FD is not still a good option. What about FD at Pop? Good Luck I can't wait to see what you decide!

I feel your hug Jaisa.. :) You are so sweet!! I am definitely leaning towards the Condo- as soon as Disney credits me back my money- I will book it. I thought about just going down to value but it really only saves about $150.00 after I upgrade the dining. Plus, I am kind of looking forward to having all the room at the condo and DH and I getting to spend some time together too, after the kids go to bed and having room for kids to play in. And another strong point, is the money that I have paid towards Disney will pay for Condo, so I would have until October to save for the tickets- Instead of August :)

Are you still foregoing dining too? I figured we would eat breakfast in condo, maybe 1 or 2 dinners an maybe one lunch. We go out to eat so much at home anyways, that it wont hurt to go out some. Obviously, we just won't eat as much without the dining plan.
