There is a second ROL show (9:50, I believe) on one of the nights we are at AK. Do you think we will be able to get seats without fastpass?

Thanks!

Yes, but you may regret it. :crazy2: I'm sorry, just a tongue in cheek joke. As much as I love WDW, we found ROL pretty so-so at best.

We have a sunset safari that day, so maybe we will just roll out after that. : )

I was being silly, but I honestly didn't care for the show. Having said that, if you haven't seen it and have the time to, I would say you should check it out. Maybe it'll be to your liking. It wasn't horrible, just wasn't something we'd see again.

If you've never seen it I would definitely recommend trying it. It has been polarizing, but a lot of people love it too. Only you can decide, and the only way to do that is to give it a watch. For a second show you shouldn't have to invest too much time into it, so I'd say it's definitely worth it.

I was there within the first few weeks that ROL premiered. We got lucky on our AK day when they added a 2nd show. I think we waited at most half an hour (which would've been the longest line we'd been in all day) for that 2nd show. For us, it was absolutely worth it. I know others who aren't fans of the show, but I think it's one you need to experience for yourself at least once.

How does it work when the second ROL show is after park closing? For a few nights during our upcoming trip, AK closes at 10 but the second show is at 10:30. Does that mean that nothing but the show is running after 10? If you see the first show, is anything open afterwards?

Also, I've always heard that the second show of anything is always less crowded. Is that still true?

The whole week we are there in June only has one showing...when or will they add a second?

Basically, the park will close everything at 10 except for the RoL viewing area. Once the show is over, everyone must exit. It doesn't really have much to do with the first show. If the first show is at say, 9:30, then the park won't quite be closed by the time it's over. You may or may not have time to do anything else, but the main stores will still be open as people file out.

This is generally true for the most part. RoL does have a somewhat smaller viewing area than other shows though, so it may still fill up, but you likely wouldn't have to get there as early.

This is very common with the night shows.

By 10pm you're either sitting in the RoL arena, or heading toward the exit. The ride lines will be shut to new people trying to enter it. The only thing that will still be open will be shops toward the front of the park.
