Second Camera help!

I'm looking to buy a second camera for myself. Right now I have an Olympus E-Volt, which I love, but it's not exactly something that I can throw in my purse for a night out. Any suggestions for a good, small digital camera that's under $300?

I also have the E-volt. I have had it for over 2 years. My husband got me an Olympus 720, can't think of the name, for under $300 at Costco. It has a feature to make short movies. I love it for quick pictures.
